Third Robbery Suspect Arrested

On Thursday, May 6th, with the assistance of the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office a third suspect
involved in the Saturday, May 1st, Attempted Armed Robbery of the Family Drug Mart on Gause Blvd. was
arrested at his home in Violet, LA.

During the investigation Detective Brian Brown learned the identity of the third suspect, Charles Roy,
age 21 of 2505 Meraux Lane, Violet, LA. Detective Brown then had warrants issued for his arrest. With the
warrants signed Detective Brown notified the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office who quickly had the suspect
in custody.

After being booked into the St. Bernard Parish Jail, the suspect was transported back to Slidell and
interviewed. During the interview he advised that he waited in the truck, while the other two suspects left.
Roy advised that only Keyshawn Hill returned to the truck and that he drove both of them back to New
Orleans East. Once in New Orleans East, Roy was dropped off and Hill drove off in the truck. The truck
which belonged to the first suspect arrested, Jacob Lagman, has not been located. From jail Jacob Lagman
reported his Grey 2000 Ford F-150 Extended Cab pickup bearing Louisiana license plate X733989 as stolen.

Detective Brown is still investigating to determine if anyone else was involved in the robbery of the
Family Drug Mart and if the suspects are connected to the Armed Robbery of the Shell Gas Station on
Brownswitch Road last month. Anyone with information about this crime or others is asked to call either the

give your name and you could be eligible for a cash reward.

Arrested Subject: Charles Roy, age 21 of 2505 Meraux Lane, Violet, LA was arrested and booked with
Principal to Attempted Armed Robbery and Principal to Attempted First Degree Murder. After being booked
in the Slidell City Jail, Roy will be transported to the St. Tammany Parish Jail where bond will be set.

Chief Drennan said “I am very grateful for the amount of cooperation and assistance that the St. Bernard
Parish Sheriff’s Office gave my detectives in locating and arresting these two suspects.”
