Es ist unklar, aus welchem Oratorium Pucittas der vorliegende Satz stammt.
Da sich Pucitta um die Zeit nach 1810 in London aufhielt, ist es sogar denkbar,
dass Englisch die ursprngliche Sprache ist (und nicht etwas Italienisch).
Von "Strike the Cymbals" sind verschiedene Bearbeitung, auch mit anderem Text erschienen.
