Bus Connection Unit 560BCU01

The connection unit 560BCU01 connects the

RTU560 system bus when extended with a second
communication subrack 560CSR01.

Application, characteristics and technical data have

to be taken from the hardware data sheet

In additional power supply is not neccessary.

Operation

The bus connection unit ist not configurable.

The bus connection unit 560BCU01 may only be

mounted at a defind position in the communication
subrack 560CSR01

Mounting the Module

The 560BCU01 must be mounted at slot 81 / module
address 0 of 560CSR01.
The EMV values ar only valid when the front plate is
crewed tightly.

Watchdog

Minute pulse output TSO

The activity on the RTU560 bus is supervise by a retriggering monoflop. ALARM and WARNING are activated if the RTU modules do not respond within about
30 seconds.

The RTU560 communication units generate an internal filtered minute pulse TSO. With this signal the
other moduls will be synchronized. Connecting the
minute puls output TSO.

System bus extension

Alarm and Warning

ALARM and WARNING are activated by the watchdog or by a RTU560 communication unit. On signalling ALARM the signal WARNING is also activated.

Minute pulse input TSI

The RTU560 communication units can be synchronized by the TSI input. Connecting the minute puls input TSI .

At the connector SEB a maximum of one communication subrack 560RTC01 may be connected to extend
the system.
The 9 pole sub-D connector SEB connects two
RTU560 communication subracks by cable.
When extenting the RTU system bus off the terminating resistors must be switched on communication
subrack 560CSR01 (see connection and settings
560CSR01).
