Chicago Real Estate Attorney Honored Among 2016 Illinois Super Lawyers
Rising Stars

North Center attorney honored in top 2.5 percent of Illinois attorneys

CHICAGO, IL February 1, 2016 Michael Mazek, owner of Mazek Law Group, has been named a
Super Lawyers 2016 Illinois Rising Star. This honor is the result of an extensive selection process,
evaluating 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. To be eligible as a Rising
Star, candidates must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. Mazek
commented, I am honored to be included in this prestigious group of Illinois attorneys. Knowing
that the process is rooted in nominations from my local legal community makes it even more
humbling.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Mazek law career. He began practicing in 2006, and
founded Mazek Law Group in 2009. He represents clients in real estate law, estate planning, civil
litigation, bankruptcy, business formation services and criminal defense. He has extensive
background in landlord-tenant statutes, and is a former member of the John Marshall Fair Housing
Legal Clinic.

Mazek also is a featured contributor in the Norton Annual Survey of Bankruptcy and a range local of
publications including Chicago Lawyer and Chicago Agent Magazine. He is also prominent speaker
and guest lecturer at many local real estate brokerages, including Coldwell Banker and Keller
Williams.

Mazek Law Group resides in North Center, where Mazek is an active member of the local Chamber
of Commerce and the North Center Neighborhood Association. I am thankful for how warmly Ive
been welcomed over the past six years. It is a community with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and
engaged families, and has been an incredible place to establish my practice. I look forward to being
a part of the neighborhoods continued growth in the years to come.
