Admissions
Contestants with numbers, two coaches, and one athletic trainer will be admitted free.
There will be an admission charge of $8.00 per day adults and $5.00 per day for students.
Entries and Fees
Fees are $25.00 per person per event, non-refundable. Checks are made payable to PfISD Athletics.

Please write "Region IV-1A Track" in the memo of your entry fee check. If a check is unable to be mailed
by April 22, it must be presented at the coaches meeting on Thursday, April 28th.
Meet Entry Procedure
Hy-Tek Meet Manager software system should be used for all area meet results. The process will be that
each of the 4 area meets will need to send 1)- an advancer file (top 4 in each event), 2)- a complete
backup of the hy-tek meet file, and 3)- a pdf copy of a results for each event.
Complete area meet results should be sent to Chip Killian via email: chip.killian@pfisd.net. These will
be forwarded to our timing system manager.
NOTE: Individual names of relay teams MUST be reported in the meet results that are sent to the
Regional Meet Director. Coaches, when you are entering your relay teams in the regional meet, you may
list the four runners that ran at the area meet plus two (2) alternates. Any changes to these six (6) athletes
must be made at the coaches meeting, and match the names listed on the relay card the day of the
prelims. Any of the six (6) names listed on the relay card submitted on the first day of the meet may run
at any time during the meet.

Substitutions
In the event a qualified contestant is unable to compete (due to injury, Illness, eligibility, etc.), the coach
or school administrator whose athlete WILL NOT compete should notify the coach or school
administrator of the next highest place finisher in order that the vacancy may be filled. YOU MUST
ALSO NOTIFY THE REGIONAL MEET OFFICE IN WRITING VIA EMAIL: Chip Killian

Protests
Protests must be filed within 30 minutes of the conclusion of an event, there will be a $25 fee. UIL
Protest forms will be included in coaches packets. Only coaches may file a protest. Coaches may not
look at finish line pictures. If a coach has a protest, the coach should submit a request in writing for
the Meet Referee to look at the finish line photo.
Meet Schedule
A detailed meet schedule is located on the district website: http://www.pfisd.net/Page/5271 and will also
be included in each coachs packet. There are specific start times for each event; it is NOT a rolling
schedule. In case of inclement weather or other unusual circumstances, PfISD reserves the right to
make appropriate changes to the schedule.
Packet Pick-Up/Coaches Meeting
A pre-meet Coaches Meeting and Packet Pick Up will be Thursday April 28, 2016 @ 6:00 p.m. in the
field house at Hendrickson High School.
Implement Weigh-In
All contestants must have their discus and shot put weighed and inspected at the meet. Weigh-In
Schedule is noted on the meet schedule.
Implement certification will be located at the weigh-in tent adjacent to the south concessions area. Only
MEET CERTIFIED implements will be allowed in the throwing venue. All implements that are
certified will be impounded and delivered to the event site. Implements will be marked with the school
name.
Athlete Check-In
Running Events: All running event athletes must check in at the tent located behind the scoreboard on
the south end of the track 15 minutes prior to the event and receive hip numbers for their race. All 4 relay
members must check in at the same time for uniform check and to turn in their relay card. Athletes will
be escorted to the starting line prior to each race.
Field Events: All field event competitors will check in at the event site 30 minutes prior to the start of the
event, any competitor not checked in prior to the event starting may not be allowed to compete.
There will be 2 flights with top 8 moving to the finals in throwing events.
Pole Vault:
Each pole vault competitor must turn in both the UIL Compliance and Verification form signed by their
coach at check in prior to the event.

Relay Cards
Each team with a relay(s) entered into the regional championships will receive a relay card(s) in their
packet for each relay team. The team must have their completed relay card at the time of check-in. The
six (6) athletes listed on the relay card for the preliminaries will be the only six athletes eligible to
compete during the regional championships. Therefore, you will not need an additional relay card for
finals.
Competitor Numbers
Every athlete entered into the meet will be assigned a competitor number that must be worn on the front
of their jersey during competition (pole vault competitors may wear theirs on the back of their
jersey). Each athlete must have a competitor number at the time of check-in for their respective events.
Facility/Meet Notes
The Regional Meet will be conducted in accordance with all NFHS and UIL Track and Field rules and
procedures.
Coaches MUST remain in the bleachers OR outside the flagging. NO coaches will be allowed on the
infield at any time. Coaching boxes will be designated for field events.
Track and runways have solid full pour urethane surfaces- pyramid spikes only please. Please use a
loose marker only on track surfaces for marks. NO chalk please. Remove markers after the event.

Warm-up area is restricted to the upper field south of the scoreboard and check-in tent.
No radios, video, or digital camcorders, ipods, ipads, or cell phones are allowed at ANY TIME in the area
of competition, track, or infield.
Parking
Coaches please park buses and vans on NORTH SIDE of the Stadium in the second lot. Please keep the
first lot open for spectator parking only.
Camps
Team camps/tents will be allowed adjacent to the warm up area. NO tents will be allowed in the
bleachers.
T-Shirts
Commemorative Championship T-shirts, Sweatshirts, etc. will be available for purchase. Cash or checks
accepted.
Concession Stand
The concession stand will be open both days.
Results
Results will posted on the UIL web site following the conclusion of the entire days competition.
