Common Operating Procedures

The following procedures are required to operate the Bell-Mark InteliJet HD

Start-Up Procedure
This Procedure is required to be performed before operating the printer after a Machine Shut-Down
procedure has been completed.
Procedure:
Turn on Main Power switch
Turn on Computer Switch
Turn on Computer switch located behind the right door on the Computer
Turn on HD System Switch
Turn on UV1 switch
Load Print Server
Load Layout Client
Load Bell-Mark IJHD Interface
Remove Guard

Lower the IJHD Platen by releasing the locking handle and turning the crank handle
Counter Clock Wise.

Pull out the IJHD Head Module by releasing the Locking pin and gently pulling on the
handle.

Remove the Capping Plate From Under the HD Head Module

Open the Left Side Door on the HD Head Module

Place some adsorbent material onto the Drip Tray

CAREFULLY - Place the Drip Tray onto the bottom of the HD Head Module and turn the
tabs inward to allow the tray to hang from the head module

Press Purge Button Once

Gently wipe print heads in the directions shown below, using only approved lint-free
wipes available from Bell-Mark (P11233)

Note: After wiping, the print heads should remain damp yet free of any visible droplets
that may drop off of the print heads.

CAREFULLY - Remove the Drip Tray from the bottom of the HD Head Module

Close side access door and push the HD head module back in until the locking pin
snaps into place.

Lift the IJHD Platen by releasing the locking handle and turning the crank handle Clock
Wise until the handle locks into the upper most position.

Replace Guard

The InteliJet HD is now ready for operation

Shut-Down Procedure
This Procedure is required to be performed before allowing the machine to set idle for
longer than 2 hours.

End any active Print Job by clicking on the red stop button in the Layout software.

Remove Guard

Lower the IJHD Platen by releasing the locking handle and turning the crank handle
Counter Clock Wise.

Pull out the IJHD Head Module by releasing the Locking pin and gently pulling on the
handle.

Place the Capping Plate Under the HD Head Module, Making sure that the locking feet
have fallen into their locating cutouts

If open, close side access door and push the HD head module back in until the locking
pin snaps into place.

Lift the IJHD Platen by releasing the locking handle and turning the crank handle Clock
Wise until the handle locks into the Middle position.

Close out layout client

Close out Bell-Mark Intelijet HD Interface
Close out Print Server
Power Down Computer through Windows
Turn off UV1 Switch
Turn off HD System
Turn off Computer Switch once PC has shut down
Turn off Main switch
The machine is now shut down

Replacing Ink Bottle Procedure

This Procedure outlines how to replace the ink bottle in the IJHD.

Release Ink bottle door by un-latching the clip at the top of the door.

Lower door and Remove the Ink bottle by rotating slightly and lifting up and out.

Unscrew Bottle Cap and replace it onto the new bottle.

Place Bottle Back into Holder and Close the Door on the Front of the IJHD
Process Complete.
