By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to recognise and articulate
initial, medial and the final sounds in single syllable words within
given context.
1. introduce the phonemes /ei/ for ai and /i:/ for ee.
2. pupils blend phonemes to form words.
3. divide the pupils into groups. Say a word. A pupil from each group
says the word and segments it. Then pick the pupils with the correct
sound cards and form the word on the board below the matching
picture.
