ENGLISH LESSON PLAN

Theme : World of knowledge
Topic : Making sandwiches
Lesson summary : Teacher begins the lesson with showing bread,canned tuna, margerine and sliced cucumber in front of the class. Teacher
introduces the word ingredient. Through the word ingredient, teacher introduces the topic of the lesson. Teacher
distributes an envelop containing steps to make a sandwich and asks pupils to rearrange the sentances. By the activity,
teacher also introduces sequence connector. Teacher give another envelops contaning sequence connector and ask student
to match it to the sentences. Then teacher show an example of writing and ask student to read. After that, teacher ask
student to write steps to make sandwiches individually. Upon finish writing the compositions, teacher chooses two
compositions for open marking in front of the class. Teacher ends the lesson by presenting prizes to the pupils.

Learning outcomes : 4.5 construct simple and compound sentences with guidance and independently.

Objective: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:


• Arrange the 7 jumbled up sentences into the proper sequence of making sandwiches.
• Match the 7 sequence connectors to the sentencs appropriately
• Write a composition between 30 and 50 words on what the ingredients are and the proper steps of making sandwiches.

Students’ previous knowledge: pupils have learnt about weather.
