Ankathi Raghu is an Alma-Mater of


Kakatiya University, Warangal- a
Thirty-year old University located at
a
historic and heritage city, Warangal
in
the state of Telangana. Dr. Raghu is
post-graduate
in
Zoology
and
Tourism Administration. His outof-box thinking has made him land in
nonconventional course i.e Tourism and
Travel Management. He is an
MTM of 2001 batch with first Ph.D holder in Tourism
from Kakatiya University in 2012. He served as a
District Tourism Officer and Consultant for tourism
projects in the undivided Andhra Pradesh. He was a
visible administrator with an appreciation for speedy
implementation of policy and programmes. His flair
for teaching and research brought him to the world
of academics in 2008 with his joining as an Assistant
Professor in National Institute of Tourism and
Hospitality
Management,
Hyderabad-An
Internationally Known Institute of Tourism and
Hospitality Research. His long cherished desire to
pursue teaching and research in University got
realized, when he joined as an Assistant Professor at
Indira Gandhi National Tribal University in 2012. He
has introduced best practices for the University
Guest House to be fully functional and independent.
