In February 2011, a significant upgrade to Datamine

Studio will be deployed. The main theme for this
upgrade is Data Clarity.

Datamine Studios Design window is an exceptionally smart area for precise and
intuitive engineering of pit designs and presents resource and reserve modelling
data in a clear and appropriate way. Now, you can combine the power of the
Design window with Studios astounding VR window. Digitize in both Design and
VR windows simultaneously, using one or more data windows to work, for the
first time, in a true 3D engineering environment.

Hundreds of improvements and additions to this

version continue to strengthen Studios enviable
reputation as the worlds leading resource and
reserve management and modelling system.
Design in VR

Charting Enhancements
Datamine Studios charting facilities, introduced in late 2009, have been
extended to include interactive charting of histograms, scatter plots and
stereonet graphs. The next Studio update will include even more functionality in
this area, such as stacked histograms, polynomial regression, bin averaging,
enhanced grid line control, user-defined XY intercepts, graphical display of mean,
log estimate of mean, geometric mean and quantiles and much more besides.

Now featuring the capability to Design in VR, users

no longer have to rely on separate data windows for
engineering and visualization you can now perform
all string digitizing and wireframing operations
directly within the Datamine Studio VR window.

Extended Data Selection and Snapping Options

Studios data selection and snapping control has been both extended and
simplified. New state settings for data types means that you can quickly and
easily manage the behaviour of the Design window when selecting data or
aligning the cursor with existing data landmarks.

Interactive Short-Term Scheduler

ISTS has undergone intensive development throughout 2010 and this trend will
continue into 2011. The next release of ISTS features 3D stockpile modelling,
enhanced blending logic, extended undo functionality, updated rimpull analysis
and a new scheduling interface.

One exciting addition to Studio is the ability to view your
VR data in multiple views simultaneously. You can split the
viewing area however you like and digitize in multiple
windows, even during the same operation!

Brand New Attribute Panel

Control data attributes more easily with an
updated attribute panel in Design and VR.

Introduced in 2009, Mineable Shape Optimiser (MSO) is an

intelligent, automated stope design package that calculates the
optimal mineable shapes taking into account the orebody
geometry and grade values.

Mapinfo Drivers
It is now possible to import MapInfo format
data into Datamine Studio.

Mineable Shape Optimizer

This facility has now been developed further to make the process
of determining optimal stope shapes more powerful and
simplified via a redesigned user interface.

Grade Control Wizard

Grade control made simple! Using a simple,
intuitive interface, you can easily meet your
ore control requirements.

Decline Optimizer

Fusion Connex integration

Decline Optimizer optimizes the

path of a decline so that it passes
through a set of defined 3D
locations
with
a
specified
maximum gradient and controlled
radius of curvature for any curved
segments. The defined locations
will typically be positions for the
start of access ramps at each of the
major development levels.

Seamless access to DHLogger, MineMapper

and Sample Station data with this clever
import tool.

Now with level/flat string support,

appropriate decline designs can be
generated in relation to the loaded
orebody model.
Decline Optimizer is rapid, smart
and reliable.
