Hey Mrunal I have a very serious question for you. I just got shortlisted for UIIC AO and have a
descriptive exam on Sunday. I wanted to know how many words according to you constitute a page? Is it
like 150 words that is counted as a page or 250? Please help me out Im very confused!

Pradipto
@Priyanka,these are trivial issues like how many words you should write in a page. You
should focus on the content more rather than the quantity. In general 150-170 is
sucient for a page but as I said it would be of no use to write even 250 words in a
page if the content is not sound. My opinion though

Priyanka Khanna

Yes my focus is content but I dont want to write less words. Actually I was a little
confused because of what I have heard from various forums on the internet. I
usually count the words in the rst line and multiply it by the no. of lines to
determine the word limit but people have got me confused and Im starting to
wonder if its done some other way for govt. exams.

Pradipto

@Priyanka,the exam u r talking about,i.e.,UIIC,AO or anything,u dont need to

count words accurately as said above.By the way congrats for u getting
shortlisted

You are not suppose to count the words in your essays/answers, It all comes from practicing
at home. It should approximately touch the limit i.e. +/- 25%. But content should be
relevant.I have a experience of UPSC exams answer sheets.
