**** IMPORTANT NOTE ****


For those users who are using our previous MOLCyberCafes Management System, you
have to uninstall
the system and install MOLCyberCafes Management System 5.0.i to your server comp
uter.
- Your cybercafes must have a workable local area network (LAN) in their premise
s.
- You must allocate one PC for the Administration. This PC will then act as the
'cash register'.
- All screen savers for client workstations must be disabled.
- Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol or DHCP should not be used for MOLCyberCaf
es System.
ONLY STATIC IP ADDRESSING ARE ALLOWED.
- Minimum requirement for this system is Pentium II with 128MB RAM memory.
- RECOMMENDED RESOLUTION for this system is 1024 x 768 resolution with 32-bit co
lour.
- If you choose Client Style - 2004, your client PC will be auto restart after p
laying LAN or Online Games.
- If you choose Client Style - Classic, you have the option to restart the Clien
t PC from the Admin.

- Microsoft Internet Explorer is recommended as the default browser for system.


- Kindly uninstall others Cybercafes Management Software before using MOLCyberca
fes Management System 5.0.i.
- Please download and read the manual before you install MOLCybercafes Managemen
t System.
- Please read the "Important Notes" in the client configuration files before con
figuring
client PCs.

**** Quick Setup ****


Before you can use the MOLCybercafes Management System, you must do necessary se
tting
first as below :
MOLCybercafes Management System (Admin Setting)
1. Add Workstation Setting (add the Client and the IP address).
-

Go to MOLCybercafes Management System Admin -> Workstation Setting.


Confirm Message will appear before configuring workstation. Click Yes.
Click Add button.
Insert the client PC Name and the Client IP Address of the client PC.
Finally click OK and exit MOLCybercafes Management System Admin.

2. Add Customer Setting.

- Go to MOLCybercafes Management System Admin -> Cybercafe Policy -> Custom


er Setting.
- Then click Add button.
- Please key in customer setting and save setting.
- Example : non for non member, member for member and student for student me
mbership.
- Click Save button.
- Your setting will be add to the list.

3. Add Rate Setting.
- Go to MOLCybercafes Management System Admin -> Cybercafes Policy ->
Charges -> Rate Setting.
- In order to add Rate Setting, please click on the Charges tab and select
Rate Setting . Select Category, Customer Type, First Hour Rate Charges,
First Block Minutes and Charges, Subsequent Block Minutes and charges
for first hour rate, Subsequent Hour Rate Charges, Subsequent First Block
Minutes
and Charges and lastly Subsequent Block Minutes and Subsequent Block Charg
es.

4.Add User Manager
-

Go to MOLCybercafes Management System Admin -> User Manager.


Click New button.
Insert User Login, Login Password and Confirm Password.
Click Save button.

MOLCybercafes Management System (Client Setting).


- Right click anywhere at the client workstation.
- Click on the option of "Unlock This PC".
- The default administrative password is "default" which is fixed for the
newly installed MOLCyberCafes Client workstations.
- Then, you'll see your windows desktop.
- Click MOLCyberCafes Client icon that located on the right corner of the Wi
ndows 95
or Windows 98 or Windows XP taskbar.
- Then, a list of four options will appear. Click on the option of "Configur
e
MOLCyberCafes" on the displayed pop up menu.
- Key in the password : 'default'.
- MOLCyberCafes Client Configuration / Settings will appear.
- Click Client Configuration.
- Add Admin Server IP.
- Add Client IP.
- Select PC Description.
- Finally, click save and close and restart your client PC.

**** Currency Sign (for Admin) ****


- Change currency sign in Windows System.
Open Control Panel. Then please select Regional Setting. Select 'currency' fro
m the tab. You can see
the sign in Currency Symbol field. Delete the sign. Then, press spacebar. Let
the field empty. Then
click apply button.

**** REGISTRY TWEAK (for Client) ****


>> Automatic Logon to Windows 95/98 and ME.
This setting allows Windows clients to automatically logon without entering a us
er name or
password, therefore bypassing the logon box.

1. Select "Start" button follow by selecting "Run". After that, type in "Reged
it" to open the
Registry Editor window.
2. Select the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\Winlogon].
3. Then, create a new string value called 'AutoAdminLogon' and set it to '1' t
o enable automatic
login.
4. After that, create a new string value called 'DefaultUserName' and set it t
o username of the default
user.
5. Create a new string value called 'DefaultPassword' and set it to match the
password of the default
user.

Restart windows and system should automatically logon.

>> Automatic Logon to Windows NT/2000 and XP.


1. Select "Start" button follow by selecting "Run". After that, type in "Reged
it" to open the
Registry Editor window.
2. Select the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVers
ion\Winlogon].
3. Then, create a new string value called 'DefaultUserName' and set it to the
username you wish
to automatically logon.
4. Create a new string value called 'DefaulPassword' and set this to the passw
ord for the user
entered above.
5. Create a new string value called 'DefaultDomainName' and set this to the do
main of the user.
Ignore this value if teh NT box is not participating in NT Domain security.
6. Add a new string value named 'AutoAdminLogon' and set it to either '1' to e
nable auto logon or '0'
to disable it.

Exit and Restart windows and system should automatically logon.

>> Disable Function Key During The Boot Sequence (Window 9x)
By default Windows 9x enables the function keys on boot, these allow you to cont
rol
the boot process. For example pressing F5 while the "Starting Windows 95..." mes
sage
is displayed will boot Windows in Safe Mode. In order to disable the Function Ke

y of F5 and F8,
follow the instruction as below:
1. Change the attributes for MSDOS.SYS so it is not 'Read Only'. MSDOS.SYS is
a hidden file
that located under the root directory of C:\ drive.
2. Open the file of MSDOS.SYS using Notepad or other text editor (except Micro
soft Word or
any other word processor).
3. Under [Options], change the value of 'BootKeys=' to 'BootKeys=0'for disable
d. If under
[Options] do not have the entry of 'BootKeys', what you need to do is type
in 'BootKeys=0'.

Changes will take place on the next reboot.

Settings:
