DIDACTIC UNIT: THE WORLD OF PLANTS

SUBJECT: SCIENCE
LEVEL: 2 COURSE OF PRIMARY EDUCATION
We are going to use the gamification in this unit in order to motivate our pupils to
develop their learning engagement. Firstly, we will do a "Kahoot activity" in relation
with our topic about plants, and then we will carry out a search game, where our
student will have to find different plants in an enclosed area, and take a photo with a
tablet of each "Qr code", to find the right answer. We will divide our classroom in two
teams, and the winner will be the team that find firstly all the answers to the questions
proposed.

Evaluation criteria

-To recognise plants as living things.


-To understand what plants need to grow and how they obtain food.
-To distinguish between the main parts of a plant and explain their
functions.
-To identify the roots, stem, leaves, flowers and fruits of plants.
-To know the classification of plants as trees, bushes and grasses.
-To learn to respect plants.

There will be big group, pairs and individual assessment.
It will take two sessions/performances around 50 minutes.

8. Evaluation (criteria and instruments)
The Evaluation will be based on the activities planned, by the observation of the class
and the questions asked to the children, their activities in big group and individual.
