Today we honor and remember all mothers,
both living and deceased. Join us in a prayer
of thanksgiving and blessing for all mothers
for their sacrifice and love.

Loving God, as a mother gives life and

nourishment to her children, so you watch
over your Church. Bless these women, that they may be
strengthened as Christian mothers. Let the example of their faith
and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may
honor them always with a spirit of profound respect. Amen.
Eucharistic procession TODAY, May 8, 9:00 pm

Join us for a Eucharistic Procession from the

UCC to the UT Tower TODAY, Sunday, May
8th around 9:00 pm (following 8:00 pm Mass).

Jesus promises the disciples that they will be clothed with power
from on high. This clothing with the Holy Spirit resides within,
allowing us each to be a living manifestation of Christ to others. In
what ways do others see Christ in us? In what ways do we need to
cooperate with Gods grace to allow Christ to be seen in us in
every moment?

48 hour dead day adoration

Immediately following the Eucharistic

Procession to the UT Tower, the Eucharist will
be exposed in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel for
48 hours, until 9:00 pm, Tuesday, May 10.
Come spend some time with Our Lord before finals!

A Special Message from Fr. Chuck

Farewell to Fr. Ed and Fr. Jamie

It is with mixed emotions that all of us wish all

the best for Fr. Ed Nowak, CSP and Fr. Jamie
Baca, CSP as they move on to new and
challenging positions in the Paulists.

Certainly we are grateful for their hard work and

dedication, displayed over the last seven and eight
years at the University Catholic Center. They
have done a lot and touched many people, enlivening their faith
lives.
And I am going to miss them in our rectory community, for they
are good community men.
But we hope that they will be back from time to time for a visit.
Beyond that, we hope they will take with them a piece of Longhorn
Spirit to their new endeavors, and a bit of that special Austin take
on things wherever the Lord leads them.
Thank you Fr. Ed and Fr. Jamie. Wishing you all the best!

member Carlos Valdez was recently awarded one
of only two Distinguished Alumni awards at
Austin High School. This select honor was
awarded on AHS Dedication Day. Carlos was
nominated and selected for his service in the
United States Navy as a naval aviator, and for his
philanthropic work and community leadership.
