SBI clerk - missed final result by 3 marks

IBPS clerk - Bank of India
NIACL assistant - final
SBI Associate Clerk - waiting
Hi friends
This is all started 8-9 months back, after completion of my post graduate thesis
work, i was seating idle at home. Somewhere
I heard about banking exam and started searching about it on internet. And i
could rightly recall that it was Bankexamtoday, the first Internet site i visited and
following till then now. Here i also thankful for popular search engine google if
they haven't shown me the result for this site on very first click, probably i will be
working somewhere in pharma manufacturing plant. Here i must take the name
of person, Mr.Ramandeep sir, thank you very much for making this possible.
I come from small city of Maharashtra, here, there was no big competition and no
quality tutorial centre. That time i didn't have much idea where to start so i just
randomly sent the email to raman sir. To my surprise, he replied and even he sent
me some of his apti based notes. I was not familiar with the calculus above
secondary level but came to know about bank exam syllabus which is very much
based on basics. Raman sir taught me how to use magic no. in percentage, profit
loss and from then i find everything easy with practise. Don't go to any tutorial or
purchase books randomly just learn some 2-4 tricks and practise with speed test.
With every exam i start knowing the importance of time management which is
the real crux of success in banking exam. Just try to attempt maximum, solve
easy first and then come for difficult one. Don't restrict your attempt in the
exam.
I was certainly not in perfect shape of my mind but with 2-3 result i find lots of
change in me. After having failure on every step of my life starting from 10th,
12th till then graduating last year, i was complete mess. Only one thing i did, i
never accepted that i am poor in study and i am not fit for anything good. I
genuinely feel we are not fail till we don't stop trying. It is just a beginning, i have
still to go long way. I want to express my sincere thanks to bankexamtoday and
ramandeep sir for showing me the right path in my endurance. Thank you very
much sir. And at last to all the banking aspirant, don't get dishearten with early
failures, once you get away, you will never stop.
Best of luck,
Jai hind,

GET YOUR SPINE BROKEN AND REALIZE THE REAL

VALUE OF YOUR LIFE.
Hello Sir, I am a spine injured patient. I met to an accident in October 2011 and
since then my life became worst then I had ever felt. I suffered with Paraplegia,
I was not able to move my legs and had no sensation below my waist at all, and
then only I realized the real value of
my life and the human anatomy beginning from head to my toe finger. Now
questions began to hurt me like,
What can a person do without legs or without any of the body parts?
or
How does a person live his Whole life born with disability?
or
How much struggles do they do to make their life satisfied? And so on.....
Such questions compelled me to think over and over about what I have and how
should I use it properly, so that I can make my life worth living as I am
gifted with another life.
But at last I am well now and walking again after 4 years and realized the real
value of my Life, this world and of everything. I am not going to waste my
time in Facebook, WhatsApp and any other social networking sites but I would
like to do something that can bring awareness among all people in this world. I
hope my long but short story would help you to encourage yourself and to
prevent you from any wrongdoing.
Having nothing to do except taking rest (completely Bed ridden) I asked my
friend about my carrier. He suggested me to prepare for bank exams. When I
began to walk after 2 years since my accident I firstly took bank test (SO IT
OFFICER) in 2013, that time I completely missed my chance because of
no preparation. I encouraged myself to be prepared well for the upcoming bank

exam and next year I qualified (SO IT OFFICER) in 2014. I went to Bhopal
for interview but in final result I missed it for .4 no from being in reserve list.
That time I was sure enough to make it happen by next year anyhow and
began my preparation really-really well. In 2014 I searched some websites for the
preparation of bank exam and one day I found+BankExamsToday and began to
follow every post whether it is from websites or from Facebook. Special thanks
to Mr. Ramandeep sir who had always replied my queries regarding
exams and interview. A lot of websites are there but either they do not reply
your queries or will reply to the chosen one. Thats why I am really grateful to
Raman sir. In 2014 I wrote Grameen bank, IBPS PO, SBI ASSOCIATE PO and
IBPS SO-IV (IT Officer) and you know what, I have qualified Grameen bank,
IBPS PO-IV and IBPS SO-IV (IT Officer). My PO-IV interview went really well in
Raipur. Then prepared for SO-IV interview and went to Bhopal (MP).

They asked me questions like : Introduce yourself/my experience

Father's name and profession
Effect of repo and reverse repo in market
What is electronics and Telecommunication
Name telecommunication device
What is data independence
What is data mining
Software name of data mining
Roll back command
IMF Head quarter
UN secretary general
Difference between router and switch/working
Difference between MAC and IP address
What is thrashing?
And in final results I got a placement in Central bank of India as a PO and in PNB
as an IT Officer.

One more thing I would like to add in this post is God never does anything wrong
that can hurt anyone in this world. He has a perfect plan for every one of
us. Of course we get afraid of anything that goes wrong in our life but just
remember that is the turning point or from that time your life is gonna be
awesome, believe me or not but overall to realize this life god did it to me. I thank
God, my family members, relatives, friends and everyone that
remembered me in their prayer for my new life.

Finally a new start and a new way to look at my life. A lot of things are here to
explain but you might get bored of all this. At last I would like to say that "I would
have never known how strong I was until being strong was the only choice I had"

Struggles and experiences motivates you to Succeed (BOI PO)

Hi friends! Its Great to share my success story with you. I was good at schooling
and scored 73% in 10th and 83% in 12th ( science) . I decided to study
engineering and also got score in CET. I got admission in Govt. engineering
college with IT as my branch. Career took a u-turn from there onwards. I lost my
valuable 3 years in it. But It was SHE who was with me, motivated me and always
there besides me.
All the rest (even parents ) were not accepting me. Because of her I decided to
take admission to B.Com(rather than wasting years in engg.) I successfully
completed my B Com from an Open University(as we were needed to manage our
financial needs by working) . after it I completed my MBA (finance) .I was really
happy for WE had completed my education on our own . No support from
parents even. I searched for good jobs but could not get as expected as per
requirement. till this time I had a Sweet lovely daughter. SHE encouraged me to
try for banking exams and appeared for only PO (SBI and IBPS) .I was having a
negative thought that clerical is not for me as i have completed MBA(ego) .I
cleared both the exams but could not make it to the final cutoff.I was very
disappointed and depressed.
SHE helped me out. She told me to appear again one more time and this time
clerk exams too.Her motivation helped me a lot. With a new Josh I prepared for
all exams.

My Attempts: SBI PO 2014 - Qualified phase 1 Could not clear final cutoff
RBI ASST - Same qualified phase 1 but could not clear phase 2
SBI Assistant - Selected
IBPS RRB OS1 Score 121
IBPS RRB OA score 171
IBPS PO - Written 76 interview 67 total 43.80 selected as BOI PO

IBPS Clerk - Written 135 interview 67 total 64.00 Selected for Central bank
of India
SBI Asso. PO - Waiting for final result

So friends its really happiest moment in my life with so many struggles and
problems atlast I had proved myself that I was not wrong. Its my love my wife
who stood with me for my success.
Never lose hope keep on trying till the time u don't succeed .
BEST LUCK FOR UPCOMING EXAMS!
Thank You RAMAN Sir for providing very important study material and updates .
Thanks to bankexamstoday.com for helping me

Try and Fail, Try and Fail, Try and Fail... repeat until you succeed.

Hi, friends.
My name is Sandeep Reddy. I completed B.Sc. from Osmania University in 2012.
In 2013 I started writing bank exams. My first exam was IBPS Specialist Officer
in April 2013. It was a big disaster for me. I got only 113 marks in that exam
where the cut off was 130+. After that I prepared for SBI PO 2013. But again a
failure. Got 107 marks in written but failed in English section by 2 marks. Applied
for Karur Vysya Bank clerk. I thought I have a very good chance because only
20000 applications received by the bank. But one more failure. At this point I
was having a doubt in my mind. Can I clear any bank exam?
But after few months, IBPS released notifications for IBPS POs, Clerks and RRBs.
I thought this time I'll come out with a job in at least one exam. Exams are over
results declared by IBPS and mixed feelings for me. Cleared IBPS PO but failed
IBPS clerks. Cleared RRB Clerks but failed RRB PO. IBPS PO cut off was 61 and I
got only 62 marks. It was my first interview in banking and I was clueless about
the marks I needed for Final selection. And in the end Got only pass marks in
interview. I was nowhere near the final cut off. Only hope was RRB clerks. I got
126 marks in written. Applied for all RRBs, but did not receive any interview call
as the cut off was 131.
With all the disappointment I started preparing for next exams and waiting for
notifications. Then I got an opportunity to write Postal Assistants exam. But bad
luck again got 69 marks but the cut off was 72. Applied for SBI Clerks and same
story. RBI Assistants. Same Same Same. Now came IBPS exam season
(September-November). By that time I was with full of disappointments in my
life. I was unable to concentrate on my studies. I lost my dearest ones too. I went
through the exams anyhow. But this time everything was in favor of me. Cleared
all IBPS exams. Went through the interviews. And finally the wait is over. Got
selected as Probationary Officer in Bank of India.
Never get disappointed with failures. They are only stepping stones of your

success.
Overcoming failures is the only way to succeed in life.

off for general cat was 68.60
My journey started from feb 2014 when i was in the final semester. I joined a
coaching center nearby and felt the real competition spirit there.
Thereafter I gave 6 exams(back to back) :

2) SBI written qualified but not selected (just short of 5 marks)
3) IOB PO written qualified and wating for interview
4) IBPS RRB PO and OFFICE ASSISTANT both qualified and waiting for the
state grameen bank recruitment
5) IBPS PO written not qualified
6) IBPS CLERK and finally got selected
Friends i just want to share one thing, see there is alot of competition and every
year competition as well as difficulty level increases. So make it a habit to solve
atleast one speed test daily and DO NOT ignore any section if you are weak in any
particular section then work on it. and the last one is the TIME MANAGEMENT
which is most important .
PS: During my preparation, I boycotted my whole social circle :P
I Wish all of you good luck and a successful future.. and Hope you all post you

Success Story of a Physically Challenged Girl

Hello everyone this is me - Sini Jagdishan from kerala.

Today I am going to share my experience with you all friends. I am physically
challenged girl with 75% disability. Though I have suffered many difficulties but
my parent and my elder brother always support me and boost my will power
whenever it came to down. I have done my graduation in BE in Information
Technology in 2010.
Afterwards for some months I am trying to get in IT private sector but I didnt get
any positive response from them. And then on 2011 onwards I thought to get
secure job in public sector especially in banking sector. I had started to prepare
for banking exam; initially I went to give po exam without any serious
preparation just for experience purpose.
Then I started serious preparation for banking exams on my own (self studies) by
buying different books magazines and trying to solve the question in the limited
time and finding short tricks for numerical questions. Initially whenever I got any
doubt regarding any question it took 1 to 5 days to find it answer ;either I have to
searched in books / magazines or in different websites
like +BankExamsToday etc.
On 2012 I had prepared well for IBPS PO 2 exam but on exam day my health was
not supporting me but still I was tired to solve the questions .Due to this I am not
able to solved Quant section problems because of the time limit.
On the same year I had appeared in IBPS CLERK also. I had cleared in written
examination but disqualify interview due to regional language problem because I
have born and brought up in Chhattisgarh, so that is why I can speak only but
cant read and write in Malayalam. So I already knew that I wont get through it.
On 2013 once again I appeared in po exam and got cleared in both written and
interview and now I am in the reserved list. In Interview the panel members are

too cooperative and friendly behavior and my interview quite good.

Marks of IBPS PO 3:On 2014 I had appeared in SBI PO Exam also and cleared in written examination
with goods marks but desperately failed in GD and Inteview though I had
prepared it well and my both GD and Interview was quite good also (just like
IBPS PO interview) and even plane members were also satisfied with my answer
(as per their response and facial expression). May be they dont want me in
their organization that'a why they even didnt give me passing number
in it. Due to this I am not able to qualify in general cut off in IBPS PO4.
After seeing my SBI PO marks I get demoralized, even my confident level also got
shaken.
Now my only hope is IBPS PO 3 reserved list. But when till 31st march 5:00pm I
didnt see any notification I lost all hope and trying to console my heart and
mind. And make up my mind to prepare and target IBPS PO 5.
But after 7:00pm when I see notification regarding reserved list allotment and
got provisional allotment intimation letter in my email, i am so happy and share
this news with my parent and my elder brother immediately because even they
too are getting tense for reserved list. I thank the GOD for his blessing.

Preparation strategy (those who are doing self studies)

Written examination: - 1st find out short tricks /formula jolt in the separate
copy and then solve the paper within the time limit.
Prefer different books and magazines and download previous question from
different sites.
For GK:-read daily newspaper and jolt down in the copy or kept paper cuttings
for GD and interview purpose. Go through Bank Exam Today daily current
Affairs it is very beneficial
For English: - read out as many as articles in any sites /paper/magazines.

For Reasoning: - just solve as many as questions.

For GD/Interview: - I had mainly prepared from different websites like
BankEXamToday etc. and prefer Competition success Review (CSR).
At last only one thing to say just works hard till your last breathe and have a faith
in god.

Bank of Baroda PO Success Story - Tejal Beri

P

Name : Tejal C BariPlace : MumbaiQualification : B.Tech

1st April will always be memorable in my life. I Finally got my dream job
after a long struggle of 1 and years.

The Start
The journey was not easy as I being a engineering student from 2011
batch. After my college I was placed in top MNC and I was extremely
happy about it.
I worked for about 2 years in IT and I being a electronics and
communication engineer found it difficult to learn coding and all.
Because of which I found no growth as the technology which I was
working was about to be scrapped as they were replacing new
technologies. I had to decide whether to continue in IT or choose a
different path. This affected my performance and unfortunately due to
internal problems I lost my job in Aug13.
I started searching jobs and appearing interviews but all I had to face is
rejection. I went through sleepless nights, depression and breakdown. I
cried day and night as it got difficult to face friends and relatives. I was
jobless for almost 5 months. Those were worst days of my life.
At that time my sister who was appearing for bank exams advised me
to also give these exams. I felt as got a ray of hope and made up my
mind to get a government job which has a respectable status and job
security.
Meanwhile to meet financial needs I took a job as lecturer in
Polytechnic college as I could get lots of time for preparation.

The preparation
I started my daily study from basics by practicing R.S.Agarwal and
various old papers.

I practiced reasoning and Quants a lot but when I appeared for 1 st time
for IBPS clerk 3 I was completely messed up.
I left like total failure. I couldnt even solve simple maths questions.
I started my preparation again and started SWOT analysis. I realized
I was lacking in Quants and current affairs.
I solved Quants every single day from different previous years papers
and current affairs capsules proved very beneficial. Computers was my
strong part as I had engineering background.
Thereafter I appeared for almost 12 exams in a span of 1 year and
faced failures and success also.

My attempts
IBPS Clerk- III (missed by 8 marks )
IBPS SPL III (not cleared)
SBI SO ( not cleared)
SBI Assistant (missed by 5 marks )
RBI Assistant (missed by 7 marks )
IBPS PO-IV (missed by 15 marks )
IBPS Clerk IV (selected BOB final : 61 marks)
SBI PO Assosiates (not cleared)
NIA AO (not cleared)
NIA Assistant ( cleared, Interview on 7th April)
SBI Associates Assistant
(Result Awaited)
IBPS SPL IV (not cleared)
I missed many exams by meager margin.
With every failure I realized I need to improve myself for time
management, practice and tricks. With days passing I felt confident
and decided never to move back.

Most important I started allotting time limit for different exams as per
strength and weakness. I gave only 15 mins for both General
awareness and Computers and 45 mins for Quants.

The D- Day
On 1st April my joy knew no bounds as I heard my result and my
parents almost cried for my success.

I got selected in Bank of Baroda : Indias International Bank. I was

extremely happy as this was my first preference.
God finally listened my prayers and gave me my dream job.
I would like to thank Raman Sir and his website Bankexamstodayfor
his support and study material which helped a lot for current affairs
and other sections.
The GK Digest from this website is more than enough to score more
than 70% marks in General Awareness Section.

Positive approach
There are lots of opportunities in banking and insurance sector. I kept a
positive attitude and I can win attitude.
There will be friends and relatives who demoralize for competition of
exams but we need to be firm to reach towards our goal.
Almost all the questions are repetitive make notes, improve skills, read
newspapers, learn new tricks and learn the statergy.
Learn to rise after every fall.
Friends I know how it feels to be unemployedBut trust yourself and
Godthe day you are selected you will forget all the pains and enjoy
every moment.
My goal doesnt stop here as I will start my preparations for PO now
and the journey begins now.

I need two things in this journey : Faith in self and patience towards
LIFE.and I would say PATIENCE WORKS WONDERS J
While walking you will find many dogs on your way barkingjust keep
biscuits and keep movingSuccess is yours as winners never quit
