Pick-up the
perfect shot

Motoring
DRIVERS love taking pictures of
their trucks. After all, it is part and
parcel of the overall ownership
experience, especially with the
advent of social media.
But capturing a good photo is
more than just whipping out your
smartphone and clicking away. It
requires patience, planning and
some out-of-the-box thinking.
To get your good truck photos to
look great, follow the steps below
and it is highly likely that the next
photo you post will garner more
likes than your recent lunch shot.

The urban setting

With its strong and bold lines,
the Isuzu D-Max is one of the most
rugged-looking vehicles on the
road.
To further accentuate its strong
design, use an urban setting as a
backdrop. Find a good spot to park
your D-Max such as on a busy
street and use a long exposure
setting to capture moving images
in the background.
Experiment with angles such as
close-ups and if you want to
further ramp up the style and
profile of the pick-up, take a photo
with a city backdrop.

Rough and rugged

Nothing quite exemplifies the

beauty of a pick-up than a rough
and rugged setting.
Venture past city limits and find
a good off-roading spot where you
can snap photos of the D-Max in its
element.
Opt for spaces with a wide open
background such as streams, a
muddy trail up a hill or a small
river that the D-Max can easily
traverse.
Try different compositions and
be ready to get dirty because good
photographers should be willing to
run, jump, climb and crawl to get
the photos they want.

The workhorse
The D-Max is more than just a
modern urban vehicle as it is also
a great workhorse. You can
emphasise the D-Max as a
workhorse with the right
backdrop.
Think of places such as
construction sites where the
frames of the buildings offer a
perfect backdrop motif for photos,
especially if taken with the sun in
the background.
Orchards are good too and you
can pile freshly plucked fruits in

the back of the D-Max, as they

serve as great props.

Lifestyle and recreation

Pick-ups are the epitome of
lifestyle vehicles and that holds
especially true for the Isuzu
D-Max as its capabilities often
correlate with adventurous
individuals.
You can always pick a location
that reflects your interests. For
example, if you like fishing, find a
still lake where you can get
mirrored images that can look
particularly beautiful at sunrise or
sunset. Or if you are a diver,
nothing beats an image of a D-Max
loaded with scuba gear facing a
pristine beach.
Alternatively, load a few
mountain bikes in the back or
around the truck the next time you
head off to a mountain biking
adventure and snap some shots at
the start of the trail.
Whatever your next adventure
is, you can rest assured that the
D-Max will be up to the task and
can show it off in front of a
camera.
