MGM Park... The Shuckers are coming off a 1-4 road trip at Pensacola and will head back on the road for 12
games against the Chattanooga Lookouts (5), Jackson Generals (5) and Mobile BayBears (2) after the series with

SHUCKERS SHUTOUT IN FINALE WITH BLUE WAHOOS: Despite drawing a season high 9 walks on Sunday
afternoon, the Biloxi Shuckers were shutout by the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 5-0, at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Biloxi
also set a season high for runners left on base with 15... LHP Wei-Chung Wang got the nod and allowed 4 runs on
7 hits with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts in 5 innings. 1B Garrett Cooper led the offense, collecting half of the teams 6
hits. C Rene Garcia collected 2 hits as well.
TODAYS STARTING PITCHER: RHP Adrian Houser makes his sixth start of the season today in the series
opener against Jacksonville. The Oklahoma native set a season high with nine strikeouts in his previous outing on
May 4 against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, but still suffered his third loss of the season in the 8-3 defeat...Biloxi is
2-3 in the right-handers starts... Monday will be Housers first career start against the Suns.
DID YOU KNOW?: This is the first ever visit by the Jacksonville Suns to MGM Park...The Shuckers played home
series at Jacksonville, 4/20-4/24 at The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville and 5/16-5/19 at Joe Davis Stadium in

MORE ON THE 3-HOMER GAME: Phillips was the first in the Southern League since Tyler Goeddel (currently with

HOME SWEET HOME: The Shuckers opened the season with a 7-game homestand and 12 of
the first 14 games being played at MGM Park as well as 29 of first 54. Last season the Shuckers
opened on a 54-game road trip prior to MGM Park opening on June 6, 2015 The road trip was 58
days and 2,800 bus mile. The club went 22-19 at MGM Park last season
PROSPECTING: 6 of Milwaukees top-30 prospects, according to MLB.com are on the
Shuckers active roster. Those include OF Brett Phillips (2), LHP Josh Hader (4), C Jacob

BROTHERS GUERRERO: Manager Mike Guerrero and hitting coach Sandy Guerrero are
the first coaching brother combinations in affiliated pro baseball. The Dominican duos father
was Epy Guerrero, the famed Dominican scout who signed more than 50 players including

BILOXI BASEBALL HISTORY: Pro baseball is not totally new to the Gulf Coast, but it is the first since 1908. The
Gulfport-Biloxi Sand Crabs of the Cotton States League played half a season in Biloxi during the summer of 1908.
Many Major League and som Minor League teams held spring traing in the area. Even the 1920 Milwaukee Brewers
of the American Association (direct descendant of the current Brewers) trained in Gulfport. See below.

Mike was born into a baseball family as Sandy and his father, Epy, was a renowned scout in the Dominican Republic who unearthed over 40 Major League players. Mike
was named after former Major League pitcher Mike Torrez, who was a friend of his father. His uncle, Mario Guerrero, was a Major League infielder with Boston (1973-74),
St. Louis (1975), California (1976-77) and Oakland (1978-80).
Mike and his wife Larissa reside in Melbourne, Fla and the couple has two sons, Michael and Daniel. Mike was born in Santo Domingo, DR.
