Berol 505 & Berol 508

Nonionic surfactants for nonylphenol replacement applications

http://www.surface.akzonobelusa.com

Berol 505 and Berol 508 are biodegradable, nonionic surfactants, based
on a synthetic primary alcohol, intended for use as a wetting agent. Both
products may be used to replace less environmentally friendly surfactants.
The advantage of Berol 505 and Berol 508 compared with other ethoxylates:
Improved aquatic toxicity over NPE, or other ethoxylates
Excellent wetting
Low residual alcohol
Low odor
Readily biodegradable
Low dynamic surface tension/Low dynamic contact angle

Degreasing Performance:
Berol 505 Following is a direct comparison of the degreasing action found with
Berol 505. On a pound for pound basis, it is far superior to nonyl phenol 9
mole ethoxylate.
