Recently here at the BOULEVARD CHURCH OF CHRIST in Toledo, OH

our pastor started bringing sermons on praise. He suggests that
in this season particularly we should praise God for new life,
for color, for joy, and for peace. The messages have been great
encouragement to usespecially in helping us to see God at
work amid trials and problems.

For instance, the last week in May our youngest daughter,

Sheri, was badly injured in a freak automobile accident. We
praise God that no lives were lost, and we see how He is work
ing even in all this.

You may remember that when we wrote to you last, Ivia was be
ginning to walk again after a long struggle with arthritis. In
early Hay we travelled to the Midwest so Charles could perform
the wedding ceremony in Tulsa which united our grandson Clif
ford and his lovely fiancee Susannah. On the trip, we managed
to see most of our children, grand-, and great-grandchildren.
Ivia made the trip just fine, but while in Missouri "threw her
hack out" which brought on a severe case of sciatica. Thanks to
the Lord and good doctors, she is making a slow but sure re
covery.

WE MOVED/ The Lord opened to us a place to live with one wore

room, giving us a place for office work. Here, we also have the
space we needed for Ivia's hospitality ministry, and to have
family and friends put their feet under our table. On May 30, a
host (29 helpers!) of our Boulevard family rallied around to
move us from our one-bedroom apartment to this larger one in
the same complex. We're now at 4913 Heatherdowns Blvd, Apt 6.
