JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB (GENERAL DESCRIPTION):
1. Lead teams of Production Operators, i.e. checking materials availability, manpower
assignment, production schedule and delivery.
2. Plans and directs activities concerned with production work executions, compliance with
delivery schedule and efficient utilization of resources.

LEVEL OF AUTHORITY:
Performs routine and non-routine duties according to the order and instructions of the
Superior. Is authorized to prepare Production documents and transaction records or data
relating to production control matters.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily in production and office setting inside the company.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


1. Performs supporting task during pre-production and or trial runs to determine optimal
set-up and quality output.
2. Maintains a safe and orderly production workplace to achieve high level of
productivity, safety and cleanliness at all times. Supports the Supervisor to ensure
consistent implementation of good housekeeping practices, and on-time
maintenance of plant facilities.
3. Serve as front line leader for all production operators, instructing workers in relation
to their daily duties, coordinate production schedule and target and ensure operators
are following correct operating procedure and specification.
4. Monitors materials flow, proper material handling, process parameters, line output performance,
workers productivity and efficient utilization of resources.

5. Closely monitor production workers to recognize shortcomings or weaknesses and address these
concerns.

6. Backup operators in cases of time and resources constraints.


7. Lead production teams to ensure smooth production operation. Making sure that
products are produced on time, are of good quality and meet the required quantity.
8. Checks the availability of accurate monitoring & measuring instruments, tools, jigs
and fixtures. Keep track of maintenance schedule and ensure that tools, jigs and
fixtures are properly maintained according to prescribe method and plan.
9. Helps develop, update and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation of systems for
production operations.

10. Coordinates all required inspections and test activities to verify acceptability of product in all stages of

production cycle.

11. Reports line problems or downtime encountered to superiors immediately to contain the problem and
for speedy solution.

12. Performs line troubleshooting and problem-solving task within capacity.


13. Helps in analyzing quality failures and customer complaints and ensure corrective and
preventive actions are implemented in the line accordingly.
14.Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization. Suggest ways and
means to improve quality and productivity.

15.Supports the achievement of department targets and objectives (KPIs) and


motivates personnel and teams to meet their targets and goals.
16. Supports the determination of manpower needs. Maintain the required level of knowledge and
skills of operators by supporting training and development programs.
17. Resolves workers conflicts, upholds the companys policies, rules and regulation, right conduct and
discipline.

18.Timely review and evaluate performance of subordinates as instructed.


19.Ensure important information is clearly communicated to all concerned personnel.
20.Ensure all reports about the status and performance of production lines efficiency,
yield, productivity of workers, troubles encountered, corrective and improvement
actions and the like, are available and are kept for easy access.
21.Reports directly to Production Supervisor on all matters relating to production.
22.Ensure compliance to procedure and requirements of Quality Management System
standards.

1. May perform portions of the work of higher classified jobs occasionally, as assigned.
2. May perform duties of similar complexity in a department or in the whole
organization as required or assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATION/REQUIRED COMPETENCY


WORK EXPERIENCE:
1. 1 2 years work experience in the same position or work function
2. At least 1 year related work experience in manufacturing set-up.
3. At least 1 year work experience as staff level position.
EDUCATION:
1. Bachelors Degree or equivalent two-year college or technical education.
