Brief Description of Tasks Performed

The main goal of this job is to promote
public health awareness within the HSS as
well as outside of it. I supervised many
projects to make this possible, such as
Operation: Health (recipient of Best
External Collaboration Project 2015 from
the Council of Organizations of the
Ateneo) and ASMPH Week (in partnership
with the ASMPH).
In collaboration with ASEAN Youth
Dialogues, Pre-Med Society of the Ateneo,
and Development Society, six speakers
were invited for a panel discussion on the
ASEAN integration and its implications on
public health.
This committee, composed of ADMU
administrators and students, is involved in
planning a project centered on a specific
public health concern every month
of the school year (a total of ten projects a
year). Some projects involve the grade
school and high school departments of the
Ateneo.

One thing I really love about VOX is because

Its community, because beyond the passion for music that brought us together, there is also
warmth, the kind that makes this organization feel like home.
I believe I am suitable for the position I am aspiring for because
I have a lot of organization experience, which I think would be helpful in dealing with
problems should I make it to the Executive Board. I also want to generate more outside
interest in Vox and its future activities. I think the Secretary-Generals duties align best with
this goal. Most importantly, I love Vox!

VOX Elections 2016

If elected, one key aspect that I would focus on and improve is

Accessibility. By streamlining communications and making processes as efficient as possible,
I aim to make sharing information easier and more convenient for Vox. Some ways I could
think of to make this possible include:
a. Maintaining open lines for communication between the EB and the rest of Vox.
Apart from evaluations and announcements, by providing avenues for members to
voice out suggestions, questions, opinions, or problems (may it be through online
means or possibly having a trunk line for the EB), the EB can be more aware of
whats going on in the organization, while at the same time be more accessible to its
members. This could also pave the way for more ideas for projects or collaborations.
b. Exploring multiple ways of sharing files with the members. Sheet music and other
files could be uploaded to a Vox Google Drive for easier access, with a note or post in
the Facebook group for updates.
c. Keeping members aware of the organizations activities can be done by sharing a
timeline or calendar of activites in our Facebook group every month. This could also
build up hype for projects or whenever it is MGMR or concert season.
d. Keeping meticulous records (e.g. attendance) available for the EB to make it easier to
assess the current state of the organization.
e. Making Vox more visible to the ASMPH community by highlighting its participation
and involvement in various activities, e.g. projects with other orgs, First Friday
Masses, etc. Keeping its social media accounts constantly updated with news,
promos and teasers for events, and other posts related to Vox should increase
exposure to non-members as well.
If elected, I will ensure commitment among the members by
Nurturing a culture of openness and fun so the members themselves will look forward to
working with each other. In my capacity as Sec-Gen, I would also remind the members
about why we do what we do, as well as provide encouragement by reinforcing the
importance of each member in making each project a success, and ultimately achieving our
goals as an organization.
In 3 years, I see VOX as
A flourishing organization with more active members, always striving to be better at its art
and never settling for anything less than its potential, while at its core maintaining a
community of friendship and respect that makes it uniquely Vox.
