them to tear someone else down that the result meant nothing to them? Was it so insignificant to
them? I fear sometimes that what was significant or traumatic for me, was nothing to them except
like stepping on a bug and walking away.

I walked down the old aisle, gazing at the broken windows of abandoned house, and the lifeless
plants.
How clear all the memories are in my head, and it amazes me. I step forward and an old memory
comes alive. I walk a hundred steps and thousand memories hit me. They hit and I feel hurt.
As I stood there with my eyes closed, she came and slipping her hands on my chest from
behind.
"It's okay. Stop thinking about it." she whispered.

also drifted apart. And then..." my voice fainted as I spoke.

same way like it did before? Didn't you pull me in your arms the way you used to do before?" she
asked.
"And what about the pain? Do you know how does it feel to be 400 days away from your love? Do
you have any idea?" I said suppressing my urge to scream.
"Yes, I know. But..."
"But? What?"
"You counted days?"
"Yes! I counted. I waited every day for you to come back. I prayed every day that things become
the way they were before. I counted every single day till we saw each other for the first time after
so many days! Yes, I couldn't hold back my emotions and so couldn't you." I said in a voice too
low.
She hugged me the instant I shushed and as we collided I knew what I wanted, I knew why I was
holding on for so long and to what I was holding on. I knew the wait was worth it 'cause she
deserved it.
