Defiance This model is focused on defiance which was taken from this photo
of Muhammad Ali called "First Round, First Minute." The model
represents the act of defiance because it is held together without any
kind of adhesive. The model also has many rectangles inside the large
cube, and there is only one that cuts completely through the model
defying the rest. Another reason this model represents defiance is
that the rectangles in the model are very small, but when somebody
would look at the model. The spaces appears to extend farther than it
http://www.dietsinreview. could possibly reach because of the compact size of the model.

the model onto other surfaces.
When working on an analysis it is easy to
mark down where various things a located
above ground, but there is a lot that goes
on under the ground surface. Because of
all the material under the ground, a person
needs to have the specific site surveyed to
find all of the buried elements to be safe.
This is done through various companies and
through the city's engineering division.

After retrieving an AutoCAD file of downtown

Fargo's utilities. I was able to create these
images to better show where the different types
of utilities are found in the area. This gives
people a better understanding of what is under
the ground in those parts of town.

When looking at an area to be designed, a key

part of the puzzle is the analysis. When working
on the analysis a piece of it is the utilities aspect.
For this there is more than just the stuff that
people can see above ground. There is a lot of
pipes, lines, and other types of structures under
the ground that need to be taken into account.
These can alter where curtain things should be
located in the design to make it easier.

Regent, ND Analysis
A big draw into Regent, ND is the Enchanted Highway which brings
visitors from Interstate 94 to the town of Regent. Along this
highway there are sculptures that create interest for
visitors. These sculptures are made entirely of used
scrap metal, and have been designed and
constructed by a local resident, Gary Greff.
These sculptures catch visitors eyes
form miles down the road, and
they give the visitors places to
stop and interact with them.

After meeting with the people
The people of Regent enjoy their history, and this of Regent. It was found that
park is designed to give them another experience of there was something needed
that. Instead of having somebody walk people around on the north side of town that
and talk about history. Here they are engaged with would bring people into town

NTS This park creates a great escape for anybody who want to just get
away for a while. These photos show just a couple views that will be
seen from different parts of the park at different times of year.

The views in this park are nice all year around because of the
plantings. They have great foliage during the spring and summer
with a lot of wonderful smells to be experienced. When fall comes
the leaves all turn and have very bright colors that are a pleasure to
look at, and as for during the winter the plants will collect some of
the snow to create different views that will also be a joy to see.

These construction document show that all the sizes and heights are good for people, but they are also good
for when people are riding the horses in the area. The lights are high enough that it does not blind the
horses or the riders, but still give enough light that people can easily see what they are doing.

With all of the vehicular traffic in downtown Fargo
there is a big need for a place for all of them to park
during the day. This design incorporates those needs
by adding a parking ramp that has the ability to hold
a large number of vehicles at one time while keeping
them in a close walking distance to the businesses in
downtown Fargo.

New Bank Drive Through New Parking Ramp

Exit

With this new parking ramp in the location that it is, the
old bank drive through had to be accounted for. That is
why in these images from a VIZ model, it shows that the
drive through can be placed to the south and still work
just fine. The entrance and exit to the area will still be
the same because it allows the vehicles to get to were they
need to go fast and easy, and keeping the pedestrians safe
with the traffic in the area.

The New Park
These photos are a good representation
of what a person would see when they
would go to the park. It is raised to
increase safety for the visitors by
getting them farther out of traffic and
clearly shows that it is a different space
that they can be in and relax.

With the park raised accesability

becomes an issue. That is why there
are steps and two ramps on the north
and south side of the park. The park makes a safe way of travel
between NP and 1st. Ave, but it is also
a nice place to go and spend sometime.

The Park Maintenance

Since this park is located in Fargo, North
Dakota snow there is going to be a need for
snow removal from the site, and that the park
is raised could present difficulties cleaning.
That is why there are large doors located in the
parking ramp to allow for maintenance
vehicles to get up into the park to take care of
all the maintenance work.
Petrifying Times Past

As lines intersect and grids are intertwined, so too do the past

and present build off of each other and become one. Petrifying
Times Past revolves around a restricted window that resembles
the view from the fort as it overlooks the town. It is then with
passage of time and through the distinctive melting process of
snow that one's view can then be expanded just as the city has
expanded to become what it is today. It is through this process
the foundational strength of the fort and its influence on
modern day Winnipeg is petrified.

when deciding what to make I
looked at key aspects of snow.
After doing this I wanted to
