Formalin is toxic and harmful to human health. If the content in the body
is high, will react chemically with almost all the substances in the cells that
suppress the function of cells and cause cell death that causes toxicity in the
body. Formalin is dangerous if inhaled, on skin and swallowed. The impact
can be: Luka baker on the skin, respiratory tract irritation, allergic reactions
and cancer hazard to humans. Formalin can enter the body through:
A. Inhalation (by breathing)
B. Direct contact (through the skin)
C. Ingestion (by mouth)
Formaldehyde impact on human health, it can be;
1. Acute effects on human health directly visible: sepert irritation, allergic,
redness, watery eyes, nausea, vomiting, a burning sensation, abdominal pain
and dizziness
2. Chronic: visible effects on human health after being exposed in the long term
and repetitive: the possibility of severe irritation, watery eyes, disorders of
the gastrointestinal, liver, kidney, pancreas, central nervous system,
menstruation and in experimental animals can cause cancer while in man
suspected to be carcinogenic (causing cancer). Consuming foods that contain
formaldehyde, the side effects seen after long-term, due to the accumulation
of formaldehyde in the body.
3. When inhaled in the long term it will cause headache, ganggua breathing,
cough, catarrh, nausea, drowsiness, injury to the kidney and lung
sensitization on neuropsychological effects include sleep disorders,
irritability,
impaired
balance,
loss
reduced
concentration
and
memory. Disorders head and infertility in women Cancer of the nose, nasal
cavity, mouth, throat, lungs and brain
4. If the affected eye may cause irritation to the eyes reddened eyes, it feels pain,
itching, blurred vision, and tears. If it is high then the material beronsentrasi
formalin can cause great expense tear and damage to the lens of the eye
5. If ingested, the mouth, throat and stomach burning, pain when swallowing,
nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, the possibility of bleeding, severe abdominal
pain, headache, hypotension (low blood pressure), seizures, unconsciousness
and coma. It also can damage the liver, heart, brain, spleen, pancreas,
central nervous system and kidneys.
Eating effect Formalin in Short-Term;
a. If exposed to the eye, there will be irritation, itching and blurred vision.
b. If ingested, it can cause damage to the liver, heart, brain, spleen, kidney, etc.
c. If inhaled, it can cause irritation of the nose, throat, cough, diarrhea and
impaired lung / breathing.
Ozone technology is also used to improve water quality in lakes / ponds / rivers are polluted, and the wastewater
treatment plant. Ozone also eliminates odor in the factory / home / office / car like the smell of cigarette smoke, the
smell of paint, new carpet smell etc. Treatment of fish in the aquarium also has been using ozone technology. The
swimming pool and modern spa use ozone to purify and kill germs. Therefore, irritated eyes / red eyes after
swimming is no longer a problem.

At the bottom of plastic bottles, recycling logo stamped with the number 2 in the
middle, and writing HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) in the bottom of the
triangle.Commonly used for milk bottle white milk, tupperware, gallons of drinking
water, folding chairs, and others. HDPE plastic bottle types possess stronger material,
hard, opaque and MORE DURABLE FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE. Is one of the
plastic material that is safe to use because of its ability to prevent chemical reaction
between the plastic packaging made of HDPE with food / drinks are packed. Just as
PET, HDPE is also recommended ONLY DISPOSABLE use since the release of the
compound antimony trioxide continue to increase over time. This type can also be
used to return to for flooring tiles, drainage, new HDPE bottles, pipes, and others.
3. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
Written (sometimes red) with the number 3 in the middle, and writing V. V it
means PVC (polyvinyl chloride), which is the most difficult type of plastic that is
recycled. It can be found on the plastic wrap (cling wrap), and bottles. Reactions that
occur between PVC with foods that are packed with plastic is potentially harmful to
the kidneys, liver and body weight. This material contains chlorine and will remove
toxins if incinerated, PVC NOT BE USED in preparing food or food packaging. This
material can also be processed back into mudflaps, panels, mats, etc.
4. LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene)
Recycling logo with the number 4 in the middle, and writing LDPE. LDPE (low
density polyethylene) plastic which type of chocolate (thermoplastic / made from
petroleum), commonly used for food, plastic packaging, bottles soft, clothing,
furniture, etc. The mechanical properties of the type of LDPE is robust, transparent,
flexible and surfaces rather fat, at a temperature of 60 degrees is very resistant to
chemical reactions, power protection against moisture quite well, recyclable and good
for goods that require a flexible but strong. Goods made from LDPE is difficult to
destroy, but still good for the food because it is difficult to react chemically with food
that is packed with this material. LDPE, can be recycled in many ways, for example
dissolved in cans, compost bins and landscaping tiles.
5. PP (polypropylene)
Recycling logo stamped with the number 5 in the middle, and writing the PP. Is a
common characteristic transparent bottles that are not clear or cloudy. Polypropylene
is stronger and lighter with low vapor permeability, good resistance to grease, stable
to high temperatures and quite shiny. Type PP (polypropylene) is a selection of plastic
material best, especially for food and beverages as a place to store food, drink bottle
and foremost drink bottles for babies. Look for the code number 5 when buying
goods made of plastic for storing packaging various foods and beverages. PP can
be recycled into forks, brooms, trays, and others.
6. PS (Polystyrene)
Recycling logo stamped with the number 6 in the middle, and
writing the PS. Commonly used as a place to eat Styrofoam, disposable
drinking places, and others. Polystyrene is an aromatic polymer
material that can emit styrene into food when the food is in contact. In
addition to food places, styrene can also be obtained from cigarette
smoke, fumes and building construction materials. This material should
be avoided, as DANGEROUS FOR HEALTH OF THE BRAIN,
ANNOYING thefemale hormone estrogen resulting in reproductive
problems, and growth and nervous system, as well as the material is
difficult to recycle. Even when recycled, these materials require a very
long process and long. This material can be identified by a code
number 6, but if the code numbers are not listed on the packaging of
plastic, this material can be identified by burning (a last resort and
should be avoided). When burned, this material will emit yellow-orange
flame, and leave soot. PS contains benzene, a cancer-causing
substance and should not be burned. This material is reprocessed into
insulation, packaging, plant beds, and others.
7. OTHER (Polycarbonate)
Recycling logo stamped with the number 7 in the center, and a note. 7 Other types
of plastics to this there are 4 types, namely: SAN styrene acrylonitrile, ABS
acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polycarbonate PC, and Nylon. Can be found on food
and beverage outlets such as sports drink bottles, car parts, household appliances,
computers, electronic equipment, and plastics packaging.
