Developing the potential of each member is an important function and a major
strength of families and churches. Do we recognize, affirm and nourish the gifts of
those around us, in our families? Do we cultivate and thank God for our own gifts?
They are meant to be shared! How do we share our gifts to build up Gods Kingdom on
earth? On this day of Pentecost, let us ask the Holy Spirit to renew the face of the
earth through us!

316 Holy Hours have been kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. The Holy
Hour Committee has considered the falling hours of this program in recent weeks. We are
focusing on recruiting new adorers. We hope and pray, that when someone is approached to
commit to an hour a week, that you will be charitable in your response---If you take
advantage of the doors being unlocked every day until mid-evening, and make a visit
remember it is the committed adorer being with the exposed Jesus Christ, which is required by
the Bishop and our Pastor, that keeps those doors unlocked so all can enter! God Bless our

adorers! The new director of the daytime hours is Barb Weigand, she can be reached at 330848-2024 should you have any questions.

Backpacks for the Peter Maurin Center (PMC)

Last year our PMC Parish community supplied approximately 165

backpacks that were distributed to deserving folks on the street. Most of
our guests either walk or ride a bicycle with their only belongings in a backpack. As
you know, The Peter Maurin Center is an Akron, inner-city Drop-In Center for
homeless and marginalized individuals. As we head into the end of the school year,
a great number of backpacks in our area will be retired. If some of these larger-size
backpacks are mostly clean and retain a substantial amount of useful remaining life,
The PMC would like to once again distribute these backpacks. Our goal is to
distribute 200 backpacks this summer. If you have a new backpack or ones that still
want to work, you can bring it to The PMC. Arrangements for pick up can be made
by calling Ken Zehenni at 330-907-6710. Thank you for re-cycling those backpacks
that still have a job to do.
We at the Ozanam Center are working hard to help supply clients with basic
furniture needs such as couches, chairs and beds but we could use some help
picking up the furniture that people call to donate. Even if you dont have a
truck we could use your help, if you have a truck that would be great. We work
with volunteers to have them pick up furniture at their convenience and try not to overwork them.
If you are willing to help, please call Jim or Cathie Perusek at 330-467-5762.
For students interested in playing football this summer, St. Sebastian

Sebastian's Byrider Hall. The cost for each physical will be $25, and all
proceeds will be donated to the St. Sebastian Athletics Booster Club to benefit
school athletics. Organizers will have CYO physical forms on hand, but high school,
summer camp, and other forms will be accepted as well. Please sign up for an
