Troubleshooting

1.0 INSTRUCTION
The cold chamber electronic controller printed circuit

board (AE-CC-01) is designed for automatic control of

room temperature and coolant solenoid valve control.
AE-CC-01 PCB is a feature packed microprocessor based
control unit suitable to perform fan motor run, to open
and close refrigerant solenoid valve and to turn ON and
OFF defrosting element.
AE-CC-01 PCB is designed for maximum reliability with
100% solid state circuitry and isolated relay contact
for outside use.
AE-CC-01 PCB is incorporated with two (2) temperature
controller, run hour meter, cooling and defrosting
timer.
An alpha-numeric display (5-digit 7-segment) is visible
through window in front of enclosure. During normal
condition it displays room temperature.
System alarm conditions are signaled at the panel
visually (by alarm LED) and alpha-numeric display. When
an alarm condition is present, the display will emit an
alpha-numeric code. This code can then be interpreted
using a menu affixed in front of the door to determine
the error.
Pad buttons and LED Indicators with its different
functions are provided for programming, monitoring of
room temperature, surface temperature of cooling coil,
fan running hours, start/stop of fan motor.
Lamp test function is provided to check dead LED and 7segment display. Press the button and it will light up
all LEDs and the 7-segment display.

IMPORTANT

Completely read and understand this manual before using

the AE-CC-01 PCB.
- AE-CC-01 controller shall be supplied separately in
each room.

-Master and Slave for Cooling and Defrosting Time

One AE-CC-01 controller can set the Cooling and
Defrosting time for all different kinds of rooms i.e.
Meat room, Vegetable room, Fish room. Or each cooling and
defrosting time of each room can be set by their own
AE-CC-01 controller. This function is called MASTER and
SLAVE (see programming section for more details). For
example, there are 3 rooms (Meat, Fish and Vegetable
room)
the controller AE-CC-01 of Meat room has been chosen
to
be the Master. This means that Fish and Vegetable rooms
have to be the Slave. The cooling and defrosting time of
the Master has to be followed by the Slaves.

-Cold Room and Freezing Room (Pt2-1 or PT2-0)

It is available to monitor both temperature of the room
and the surface temperature on evaporator coil. In the
case of Cold Room (defrosting heater element is not
provided like Vegetable Room and / or temperature sensor
on surface evaporator coil is not installed), by setting
PT2-0 (see programming section for more detail), signal
of PT2-0 sensor can be canceled.

PAD BUTTONS
1. START/STOP BUTON By pressing this button, the Fan turns ON

and OFF
2. UP BUTTON / LAMP TEST- Increases the value of input number,
also for lamp testing. Perform lamp test by pressing it off
and on, check for dead LED of 7-segment, if dead LED were
found, replace with new Button and Display PCB
3. DOWN BUTTON / MANUAL DEFROST- Decreases the value of the
input number, also for Manual Defrosting.
Manual Defrost: Press the button to manually start or stop
manually the defrosting.
4. DISPLAY BUTTON- Changes the displayed value on Alphanumeric display. The 3 LEDs on the left side of the Alphanumeric display indicate if the displayed value is room
temperature, surface temperature on cooling coil or fan
running time.
This figure shows alpha-numeric display indicates fan
running hour because the LED Hour illuminates.

5. SET BUTTON- Initiates setting for all parameters and saves

changed value.

will show Ct xx (Cooling time). To search the setting, just
press Up Button and Down Button, the display on Alphanumeric display changes.
When alarm occurs, the Alpha-Numeric Display shows error
code.

4.0 OPERATION

4.1

INITIAL START UP
1. Disconnect power supply to the controller. Check the
external connection (especially, motor power line
and
PT100
sensors). After that, go to the next step.
2. Supply the power again. Then all LEDs and 7-segment will
light up for 5 seconds. Check if it all light up.
*As soon as there is power supply, the cooling / defrosting
timer starts, therefore if you want to restart the cooling
time, disconnect the controllers power supply for at least 10
seconds then supply the power again.
3. Press the Fan Start Button on front of controller.
*During startup, the room temperature is higher than the high
temperature alarm on the setting, so expect an alarm will
occur. This alarm should be neglected as everything is working
normally. Then check whether the room temperature is
decreasing.
4. The individual room temperature is indicated on 7-segment
of each controller.
5. Confirm if each parameter has been set exactly based on the
quick reference guide affixed outside of the door.
*If there is an abnormal status, the alarm will turn ON. It
either go to Auto Reset or it can be Manually Reset. If it
goes to Auto Reset, the Fan remains ON, if it goes to Manual
Reset, the Fan turns OFF.
5. If everything is working normally, check the refrigerators
compressor, it should be running.
*If the Compressor STOPS, the solenoid valve should be OFF
and the Fan should be ON.
7. While in Cooling Time,
*If the Room Temperature is above the set temperature, both
Solenoid Salve and Fan should be ON. But if the Room
temperature is below the set temperature, the Solenoid Valve
should be OFF and the FAN should be ON.
*While in Cooling Time, it is possible to manually defrost by
manually pushing the Defrost button, Heater turns ON, Solenoid

Valve and Fan turn OFF. Also while in Manual Defrost, the
cooling timer is still running.
8. After Cooling Time, Defrosting Time comes next,
*During Defrosting Time if the Temperature on the surface of
cooling pins is below Set Temperature, the Heater should be ON
and the Solenoid Valve and Fan should be OFF. But if it is
above Set Temperature, All the Heater, Fan and Solenoid valve
should be OFF.
9. After the Defrosting Time, the cycle will go back to the
Fan Start ON and repeat the cycle.

The AE-CC-01 Controller has been tested for two (2) years in
our company with actual conditions and it didnt encounter any
malfunction.
It is guaranteed that there will be no problems.
However, if you found any problems with the controller, please
check the following:
-Alarm with error code displaying:
Most errors are caused by mixed-internal wiring or connection
between local instruments and controller Input port.
Therefore, if alarm error code happens, please check external
wiring and connection according to table 7.0. If it does not
work, consult HI AIR KOREA.
-Controller does not work:
Check power supply and correct according to drawing
-Strange display on 7-segment LED
Perform lamp test by pressing it off and on, check for dead
