I. Activate your my.eset.com account

3. On my.eset.com, click Create new account.In the registration form, please provide the following information in the ESET Anti-Theft web interface (all fields are
mandatory):Email: it is not necessary to register the account to the same email address used for ESET product license registration. Two accounts can not be registered
to one email address.Password: a minimum of 8 characters, must contain letters and numbers. A lost password recovery function is available for the account.It is also
possible to create a new my.eset.com account during the installation process.
If you registered during installation, then you should have received an email with a confirmation link that, when clicked, activates your my.eset.com account. You
can use the same email and password combination to login for this step.

Your my.eset.com account username and password


The credentials for your my.eset.com account are different from the ESET-issued Username,Password, and License Keythat you received after
purchasing your product. Do not use your ESET-issued Username and Password to sign in to your my.eset.com account.

II. Associate your device(s) with your my.eset.com account


1. In the main program window clickSetup Security tooland then click the slider bar next toESET Anti-Theft.

2. Enter your account credentials at my.eset.com and then click Sign in.

3. Type the name of the computer or device into the Devicename field (as you want it to be displayed in the my.eset.com list of devices) and clickNext.

4. Click Finish.This device will then be associated with your my.eset.com account and ESET Anti-Theft will be enabled. All devices associated with your my.eset.com
account are accessible from theHometab of the my.eset.com web interface. ClickView detailsto manage a device's status, activity, diagnostics, messages and other
settings. For more information please refer to the my.eset.comhelp pages.

In case of theft or loss


If you suspect that your registered device has been lost or stolen:
1. Go to my.eset.com, log in to your my.eset.com account and select the device or computer that is missing. Click My device is missing.

2. After clicking My device is missing, a device status change confirmation message will appear in a pop-up window with information about the following actions:

Using default settings, ESET Smart Security will begin monitoring the device immediately.
Monitoring will continue for up to 14 days.
Email notifications will be sent to the user's email 5 days, 3 days and 1 day before the expiration of this period. 5 days before the expiration of the missing
state a message will also be displayed on your my.eset.com account.

The following actions will also be taken automatically:

Email notifications will be sent stating that the device status has been set to missing.
When the missing computer or device goes online, ESET Smart Security will record information on regular intervals. This data can be viewed in the Activity tab

of your my.eset.com account.


The missing device will automatically restart within three minutes of going online. A Phantom Account will be created for the missing device and a fake user
account auto-login will be set. The purpose of the Phantom Account is to protect your real user accounts. In ESET Anti-Theft setup, you are prompted to
password-protect all your accounts. A Phantom Account requires no password, and therefore is easily accessible for the person with your device. The
Phantom Account:is automatically opened when the missing device starts (while your actual accounts are hidden); collects data on the device location,
webcam pictures and screenshots; sends the data to your my.eset.com account.

How to revert the status of a device to normal


To revert a device to a normal state, click I recovered my device I recovered my device.The device will reboot and your normal user account will be re-enabled. After
selecting I recovered my device, a device status change confirmation message will appear in a pop-up window which will include additional summary information.

Important recommendations in case of loss or theft


If your device is lost or stolen, we highly recommended taking the following actions to mitigate potential damage caused by criminals:
Report the loss or theft of your device to police with a detailed description including the make, color and serial number
Only share my.eset.com information about your device (for example, any pictures captured with the built-in camera) with police
Keep the details of your my.eset.com account log confidential
Change your email account password
Change your Internet banking password (if compromised) and check your bank accounts for suspicious transactions
Change the passwords for all your social media accounts
