Select Data

Select
Data Editor

And Select
Data Editor (Edit)

To import a dataset from an external source


(i.e.: Excel),

Copy the Dataset

In the Data Editor,


select the upper-most
left cell

Press Edit

Press Paste

A window with concerns about the first row will open

Select Import

Select Excel spreadsheet

Press Browse and


select your file

Select the worksheet

read correctly

the data is ready
to be imported

Generate Summary Statistics
(i.e.: Mean, Standard Deviation, Range)

Create Frequency Tables (especially for Categorical


Variables)

Press Statistics

Select Summaries,
tables, and test

Select Summary and


descriptive statistics

Select
Summary statistics

Enter the
Variables here

Choose Standard display

Press OK

The Table will be displayed


in the Results Window

There are multiple graphics choices for different


situations

Select Graphics

Choose the kind of


graph that will suit
your needs

Select
Twoway graph

Press Create

Select Line

Select your variable

Select your
time variable

Press Accept

Press OK

A new window will open


to generate the graph

To edit the graph,


Press this button

Double-click any part


of the graph to edit it

To save your graph,


press File

Select Save As

Press this to open


a list of formats

And choose your


desired format

Press this button to


stop editing mode
