Er ist kaum sichtbar, manchmal wenige Millimeter gro bis hin zu grob-sperrigen Teilen: der
Schmutz der Wasser verunreinigen kann.
Soll leicht bis schwer verschmutztes Wasser
transportiert werden, muss die eingesetzte Pumpe dafr ausgerstet sein.

the dirt which can pollute water.
If slightly or heavily muddy water is supposed to
be transported, the pump used must be
equipped for this application.

werden, wenn ein Korrosionsangriff vorliegt.
For the transport of polluted media EMU offers

different type ranges and equipments of special
materials. Thus an impeller of Abrasit resists
even high mechanical load while designs with
Ceram coating are used in case of a corrosive
attack.

worthwhile with the drainage of cellars and
irrigation of gardens. KS stands for the pumping
of very muddy water and even coarse impurities
cant harm the FA-range.

our ceramic coating Ceram C0
C0; a
coating we have used in our works
for many years and which can be
applied very fast.
If there is a high concentration of

abrasive matter, often traditionally
used casting materials are only temporarily resistant. Here we have the
possibility to deliver the impellers
and pump casings in a high-quality
chill casting material - Abrasit . This
material with its martensite structure
and high content of chromium carbides shows highest wear resistance. However, it is only suitable
for slightly corrosive liquids.
Liegt eine hohe Konzentration an

abrasiven Stoffen vor, halten traditionell
eingesetzte Gussmaterialien oft nur zeitlich begrenzt stand. Hier haben wir die
Mglichkeit, die Laufrder und Pumpengehuse in einem hochverschlei
festem Hartguwerkstoff - Abrasit auszuliefern. Dieser Werkstoff zeigt mit
seinem martensitischem Grundgefge
und einem hohen Gehalt an ChromMischkarbiden hchste Verschleifestigkeit. Er ist aber nur fr schwach
korrosive Flssigkeiten geeignet.

Pour les installations qui utilisent des li

quides acides et contenant des dtersifs
ou bien de leau de mer, nous recommandons notre revtement en cramique Ceram C0
C0. Dans notre usine, nous
appliquons depuis plusieurs annes ce
revtement sur les machines, et ce en
trs peu de temps.
Les matriaux en fonte traditionnels ne
rsistent souvent que pour une dure
limite si les fluides vhiculs prsentent
une forte concentration en substances
abrasives. Nous pouvons dans ce cas
vous livrer des roues et des corps de
pompe fabriqus dans une fonte trempe appele Abrasit et qui dispose
dune trs grande rsistance lusure.
Ce matriau bnficie, grce sa structure martensitique et sa forte teneur en
carbures mixtes de chrome, dune rsistance maximum lusure. Il ne convient
cependant quaux fluides peu corrosifs.

Fr die Frderung von sauberem oder nur leicht
verschmutztem Wasser werden EMU-Tauchpumpen der Typenreihe TM , TMW und KE eingesetzt. (Bei stark verschmutztem Wasser empfehlen wir die Tauchpumpen unserer Typenreihe KS.
Bei Wasser mit groben Beimengungen oder Abwasser die Tauchpumpen unserer Typenreihe
FA).
Die Pumpe kann stationr in den Entwsserungsschacht eingebaut werden. Eine Niveauschaltung bernimmt die automatische
Steuerung der Pumpe. Die Niveauschaltung ist so
einzusetzen, da beim selbsttigen Ausschalten
der niedrigste Wasserstand mindestens noch
den Pumpendruckstutzen berdeckt.
Alle Gehuseteile und das Laufrad bestehen
ganz aus Metall (keine Teile aus Kunststoff, auer
bei TM und TMW).
Der elektrische Antrieb ist gegenber dem
Frdermedium mit einer hochwertigen Gleitringdichtung abgedichtet (keine verschleiempfindliche Abdichtung mit Radialdichtungen).
EMU Submersible Pumps of the KE series are

used for pumping clear or slightly muddy water.
(For water of high solid contents we recommend
our series TM ,TMW and KE submersible pumps.
For water with coarse solid contents or for
sewage we suggest our FA submersible sewage
pumps).
Pour le pompage d'eau claire ou peu charge il

convient d'utiliser des pompes submersibles
EMU de la srie TM, TMW et KE. (En cas d'eau
fortement charge, nous conseillons les pompes
submersibles de notre srie KS. Pour l'eau
gros solides ou pour l'eau d'gouts, il faut utiliser
les pompes submersibles de la srie FA).
The pumps may be used for permanent installation in a suitable drainage sump. A float control will make the pump work automatically.
Adjust the float control in such a way that the
lowest water level for automatic cut out covers
at least the pump discharge piece.
La pompe peut tre utilise reposant au fond du

puisard. Des flotteurs commandent la marche
automatique du groupe. Le flotteur infrieur doit
tre regl de telle faon que la partie
refoulement du groupe reste immerge l'arrt
automatique.
All casing parts and the impeller are of all-metal

design. (No plastic parts, except TM and TMW).
Toutes les pices du corps et la roue sont

entirement en mtal (pas de matire plastique,
except TM et TMW).
Le moteur lectrique est rendu tanche vers le
liquide pomp, par une garniture mcanique de
haute qualit (pas de joint sensible l'usure
avec des joints radiaux).
Die meisten Motoren sind mit l gefllt. Diese

lvorlage schmiert die Kugellager, khlt die
Wicklung, verhtet Kondenswasser im Motor und
konserviert alle vom l benetzten Bauteile. Sie
ermglicht damit einen sicheren und ber lange
Zeit wartungsfreien Betrieb. Auch bei langen
Stillstandszeiten ist die Pumpe stets gut konserviert und damit jederzeit einsatzbereit (kein Festrosten, keine Kondenswasserbildung nach lngeren Betriebs- oder Stillstandszeiten).
Most motors are oil filled. This oil lubricates the

ball bearings, cools the windings, prevents
condensation water in the motor and preserves
all components in contact with the oil. It permits
safe operation without maintenance for a long
time. Even in case of long shut-down periods the
motor is well preserved and ready for use. (No
seizure due to rust, no condensation water after
long operation or shut-down periods).
Das Kabel kann jederzeit leicht ber eine wasserdichte Steckverbindung ausgetauscht werden
(keine Demontage der Pumpe notwendig).
The cable is easily replaced by removing it via

the water-tight plug connection (no dis-mantling
of the pump is required).
La plupart des moteurs est remplie d'huile. Cette

huile lubrifie les roulement billes, refroidit
l'enroulement, pche l'accumulation d'eau de
condensation dans le moteur et prserve toutes
les pices en contact avec l'huile. Elle assure
ainsi un fonctionnement sr et sans maitenance
pendant une priode prolonge. Mme en cas
de longs intervalles d'inutilisation la pompe est
toujours bien prserve et prte fonctionner
(pas de blocage par la rouille, pas d'eau de
condensation aprs de longues priodes
d'opration et d'inutilisation).
Le cble peut tre remplac facilement par une
fiche tanche l'eau, sans dmontage de la
pompe.

in unser Programm als Sonderausfhrung aufgenommen. Dieser Korb wird als Vorsieb eingesetzt und verringert die Ansauggeschwindigkeit;
dadurch wird das Zusetzen des Saugsiebes weitestgehend verhindert. Die Tauchpumpe wird
einfach in die zu entwssernde Baugrube (bzw.
in den Schacht oder Becken) gestellt. Sie senkt
das Wasser bis wenige Zentimeter ber dem
Boden ab. Fliet der Pumpe stndig Wasser zu,
so kann sie auch nach dem Abpumpen im
Schlrfbetrieb weiterlaufen. Bei sehr weichem
Untergrund sollte die Pumpe auf eine feste Unterlage (z.B. Stein oder Betonplatte) gestellt oder
eingehngt werden, um ein Einschlmmen zu
vermeiden.
Bei Wasser mit groben, sperrigen Verunreinigungen empfehlen wir unsere FA-Schmutzwasserpumpen in T-Ausfhrung; sie werden besonders
dort eingesetzt, wo groe Kugeldurchgnge vorausgesetzt werden.
Die Pumpen unseres neu berarbeiteten
Schmutzwasserprogramms zeichnen sich durch
hohe Verschleifestigkeit aus. Die Pumpen sind
handlich, robust und problemlos zu handhaben.
Die meisten Laufrder und Pumpengehuse sind
in Sonderwerkstoffen und mit Keramikbeschichtung lieferbar. Somit knnen wir uns
den jeweiligen Bedrfnissen bezglich Korrosion und Abrasion anpassen.
EMU Submersible Pumps of the KS series are

suitable for handling very muddy and sandy
water. They have given good results when used
as water display pumps. We have deve-loped for
the KS series a large-sized strainer available as
a special design. It is used as filter and reduces
the inrush velocity. This avoids clogging of the
strainer to a great extent.
The submersible pump is simply placed into the
sump or basin. It will lower the water level within
an inch or so from the bottom. If there is a
continuous feed of water, the pump may continue
to work on snore. If the bottom is very soft, the
pump should be put on a solid base such as a
stone or a concrete slab or suspended, to
prevent it from sinking into the mud.
Les pompes submersibles EMU de la srie KS

sont utilises pour le pompage d'eaux fortement
charges et sablonneuses. Ces pompes ont
aussi donn de bons rsultats comme pompes
jets d'eau dcoratifs. Pour notre srie KS nous
avons dvelopp une crpine spcialement
large titre d'excution spciale. Cette crpine
agit comme un filtre et rduit la vitesse
d'aspiration. De cette faon on vite largement
le colmatage de la crpine. La pompe est tout
simplement place dans le puisard (ou bassin)
vacuer. Elle abaisse l'eau jusqu' quelques
centimtres au-dessus du fond. S'il y a une
arrive d'eau continue vers la pompe, elle peut
continuer pomper "en reniflant". Si le fond est
trs mou, la pompe doit tre mise sur une base
solide (par exemple une pierre ou une dale de
bton) pour viter un envasement.

pumps of T design. They are particularly used
where large free ball passages are required.

Voraussetzung dafr ist, dass sie die fr die Befestigung notwendige sichtbare Nocke (bei KS
24 im Pumpengehuse integriert), plus Bohrung
fr die Schraubverbindung aufweisen.
Dann kann jederzeit auch zu einem spteren
Zeitpunkt ein EMUBIL montiert werden.

squirrel cage motors with water tight, insulated
winding. The motor filling, water or EMU filling
(frost-resistant), serves as cooling of the
winding and for lubricating the sleeve
bearings. The compensation of the volume due
to warming up and cooling down is achieved
by a diaphragm in the base part of the motor.
