Waffle Shop, Pittsburgh, PA
The Waffle Shop is both a restaurant and an interactive community art project, where
patrons are welcome to participate in a live streaming talk show (www.waffleshop.org). My
responsibilities here included basic waitress, cook, and dishwasher duties. The Waffle Shop
is run out the art program at Carnegie Mellon, so my job at The Waffle Shop was part of
financial aid work study.

May - August 2009 – E1- Entertainer


Sesame Place, Langhorne, PA
Responsibilities included hosting live theater shows, perform as characters and as an
entertainer in parade and throughout the park, providing information to parents about park
attractions, show times, character appearance, etc.

May - October 2008 – Jamie


Sesame Place, Langhorne, PA
Jamie was the main human character in the live show Big Bird's Beach Party at Sesame
Street. The role included acting, singing, and simple dance steps, as well as soliciting
audience participation and interacting with children and adults. Other duties included the
aforementioned E1 responsibilities in addition to six daily performances.

April 2008 – Election Assistant


Warminster Twp #16, Bucks County Election Board of Elections
Worked the local polls assisting people in voting during Pennsylvania primary; duties
included mechanically handling polling stations, signing in voters, assisting elderly, ESL,
and physically disabled voters navigate the polls, and counting ballots at the end of night.

October 2007 to March 2008 – Party Host and Bounce Supervisor


Let’s Bounce Around, Doylestown, PA
Supervised children playing at indoor inflatable playground (moon bounces, large slides,
etc.) and hosted childrens' birthday parties, including serving pizza and cake, distributing
favors, and monitoring behavior, as well as basic maintenance work.

Prose Editor. Entails reading 6-10 short stories before weekly meetings, discussing them
with other editors, and making selections for the journal. We published an alumni journal in
the Fall 2009 semester, and currently working on the student journal for Spring 2010.
The Cut , Undergraduate Music Magazine
Copy Editor. Entails copy editing 2-6 articles per monthly issue, including checking spelling
and grammar, as well fact-checking, and helping to title pieces.

Off the Top, Improv Comedy Troupe


Performer. This undergraduate and graduate level improv group meets once a week and
performs twice per semester.
