The Line of work that I intend to work in is the Probation and Parole field, this line of

work monitor and evaluate those offenders that I have in their deeds and actions and
to see how they progress within their being on probation and parole, I will also
observe them from the time of their conviction through the time their period of
adjustment after their release, the stakeholders of the line of work that I intend to
work in are all apart of the criminal justice system from the police department and
sheriff department, as well as the correction department and court system, in the
line of work there will be proper engagement in community participation and creating
and promoting programs for those who comes under my observation in the intended
line of work, for within this line of work, the probation and parole officer is held under
the same standards of the police department and the correctional field. There are
laws that has to be upheld and enforced that the court system and the probation and
parole office coincide with each other and there is a mutual respect for each others
job description, the probation and parole line of work that is a direct offspring of the
criminal justice system.
One work scenarios where ethical decision making and moral action must be taken in
the position is when as a probation and parole officer has to deal with is Stoicism
where many of the people on probation and parole would operate from a stand point
of having the will and desire to do whats right or wrong based on their fate and
belief, a lot of times those who has committed a crime and have to come under the
observation of a probation and parole officer sometimes their conscious set in and
they start thinking along the lines of doing what is right and that God has giving
them a second chance to get their life right, when it comes to stoicism and the
ethical decision making and moral actions , another , as for the officer in a position a
ethical and moral decision and action is when dealing with is ethical egoism to the
put the officer doesnt care about how those who he or she has under their
observation feelings and what they are going through but is focused on their own
personal gain and reputation as an officer, taken the job personal and only dealing

with that which benefits them and how they see that the job should be done, never
taken under consideration what is best for those who are on probation and parole.,
and the psychological egoism is where the person go into the field of probation and
parole with the mindset of helping and aiding those who may need help in getting
their lives in order, and they as a officer can help them and getting their life back on
track, they feel that they will get their blessing and award later for doing a job that
helps those who want that second chance of getting their life in order.
The pros of stoicism in the line of work and position is that when it comes to a
persons desire and will to make the proper changes with their lives they have a
desire to work with the system and with the probation and parole officers , when the
officer themselves operate under this mindset he or she will treat those who are
under them with a good moral conduct, and making sure that those who are placed
under their observation is properly treat within the criminal justice system. The cons
of stoicism is that a person who has this mindset can also not follow the riles and
regulations that is placed before them due to their belief, they could always refuse
certain instructions that is presented to them by the system if it conflicts with their
belief. A second scenario pros and cons is psychological egotism is that a person can
feel that if they do what is needed to be done can make the world better and make
their life much easier and their time on probation or parole go by quicker, and that
they are making their probation or parole officers job easy if they dont give them a
hard time and follow their instruction. And the cons of it is that one could feel that
those on probation or parole may try to take advantage of an officer that shows them
any signs of showing to them what may be to them of having it easy and a person
that lacks in the ability to do their job properly because they seem passive.

I will provide a professional service to the probation and parole work field and the community as well

as the people that i have under my observation, I will work effectively to work with the adjustment of the
offender.

I will as a probation and parole officer uphold the laws, rules and regulations with dignity, and display

a strong awareness of my job and the responsibilities to all offenders while recognizing the right and safety
of the public to be safeguarded from criminal activity.

I as a probation and parole officer will strive and work to be very objective in the way I perform all of

my duties, and respecting the rights of all those under my observation, and respecting every ones race,
religion and culture.

I will take under consideration that how I carry myself on and off duty within mu personal life will

have a effect on how I am seen within my field of work and in my position.


5. I will enforce policy, procedures and personnel practices, which will enable others to conduct
themselves in the right manner.
6) I will constantly reevaluate my position and to see where my strengths and weakness are.
7) I will properly study, research and investigate all cases before me properly.
8) I will take time with each case to make sure that all paperwork have been properly been overlooked and
all correction are made and that they are properly filed within their proper manner.
9) I will report all violations of any rules, regulations, instructions and codes that are broken, manipulated
and misused by those on probation and parole as well as officers who fail to carryout their duty in a proper
manner and violating the codes that they vow to follow and uphold.
10) I will make sure that I work hand and hand with all those on probation and parole to make sure that
they get the best service and provide for them the proper information and documentations to help them
through their process to make sure they are successful and completing their appointed time on probation
and parole.
11) I will give 100% to those who have placed their trust in my ability to carryout my duties within my
position.
The best design of practices checklist for my chosen position as a probation and parole officer is:
1) Every day go over the mission statement that is provided for the position.
2) Go over all your notes and outlines that you have created on each person that
is under your observation.
3) Make the proper contacts that are within my workload.
4) Make sure that all documentation is up to date and up to standard.
5) Make sure that I understand all the codes of ethics and that I also understand
all the rules and regulations within my job description.

6) Make sure that I am able to present to all those under my observation


understand what I expect from each of them and that they make known their
expectation of what they feel I need to do on their behalf.
7) I will make sure that all those who are under my observation have a clear
understanding of the roles of a probation and parole officer and the guidelines
that we must follow and that they also must follow.
8) I will make sure that I am in accord with all procedures and that I am in accord
with the rules, regulations and laws that I must obey.
9) I will work with all those in their perspective areas and making sure that we
provide the best services to the people.
10) I will make sure all policy are held up and that my representation of my
position is seen as a respectable position.
My code of ethics will positively impact all stakeholders to the position in the
way of making sure that it is a safe environment and also allow everyone to
feel confident that if we follow these codes of ethics that we would provide the
best service to the people and all are under one accord, if these codes of
ethics are properly understood and followed there would be a less stressful
work environment for everyone in our line of work. These codes will positively
impact the whole of system from the police department all the way to the Law
firms in the manner of that if everyone operating under these codes show a
righteous and respectful system and will be held in a high standard among
the people that they come into contact with.
