Observe que:
1. El objeto directo (direct object) de la oracin activa pasa a ser el sujeto de la oracin en voz
pasiva.
2. El sujeto de la oracin en voz activa pasa a ser el complemento en la oracin en voz pasiva.
3. El verbo de la oracin en voz pasiva se forma con el verbo to be (de acuerdo al tiempo del verbo
de la oracin activa) mas el participio pasado del verbo principal de la oracin activa.
Podemos utilizar el siguiente esquema transformar una oracin de voz activa a voz pasiva.

A continuacin estudiaremos la voz pasiva en los diferentes tiempos verbales:


Los tiempos verbales que estudiaremos a continuacin son los siguientes:

Nota: Los complementos circunstanciales de modo, tiempo lugar siempre los vas a colocar al final de la
oracin o antes del BY.
-11. Presente:
Cuando la oracin est en presente simple (Simple Present), la voz pasiva se forma con el
presente del verbo to be is para (he, she, it), are para (we, you,they); a esto se le agrega el pasado
participio del verbo de la oracin activa.

THEY TEACH ENGLISH IN HIGH SCHOOL


ENGLISH IS TAUGHT BY THEM IN HIGH SCHOOL

Si el sujeto de la oracin activa es un pronombre personal (Sujeto): I, SHE, HE etc .. . ) al pasar la


oracin a voz pasiva estos pronombres pasan a complementos y se deben usar los pronombres objetivos,
(ME, YOU, HIM, HER, IT, US, YOU, THEM).

Cuando la oracin est en pasado simple (Simple Past), la voz pasiva se forma con el pasado del

Cuando el verbo de la oracin est en futuro (con el auxiliar Will) la voz pasiva se forma con el
futuro del verbo TO BE que es: Will BE ms el participio pasado del verbo de la oracin.

-54.- Presente Continuo (Progressive)


Cuando la oracin esta en presente continuo (Progresivo): am, is, are ms el gerundio: ING; la
voz pasiva se forma con el presente continuo del verbo TO BE (BEING) + el pasado participio
del verbo de la oracin activa.

THE BOY IS BEING LED BY HIM
JANET IS SCOLDING THE GIRLS
THE GIRLS ARE BEING SCOLDED BY JANET

Cuando la oracin esta en Presente Perfecto con el auxiliar (have/has) mas el pasado participio,
del verbo principal, la voz pasiva se forma con el pasado participio del verbo TO BE
