Christ , culture, and generation gap

http://www.christianitytoday.com/biblestudies/articles/evangelism/generationgap.html
- Neutral. Different people has different view
- This conversation with my grandmother illustrates a broader issue. Younger
Christians often feel their elders are out of touch, behind the times, chained to
antiquated notions of proper behavior. At worst, they are ill-equipped to do
good work for the gospel because they refuse to engage the culture for Christ.
At the same time, older Christians often view younger generations as
disrespectful, uncommitted to biblical holiness, or generally unwilling to hoe
the hard row of Christian discipleship. At worst, they are compromisers who
sacrifice Christian faithfulness in order to be accepted by the broader culture.

- Negative. Opposite of Christianity
- "We know they are sincere in their beliefs, but as Christians, think that they
are sincerely wrong in what they believe," Sytsma told the Houston Chronicle.
"We don't need to be afraid of them, but we do fear for them because of what
the Bible says about how God will handle people who follow such beliefs."

Negative. Disobey law of Christianity

The Supreme Courts decision that the Constitution guarantees a right to
same-sex marriage was a landmark moment in US history. The sweeping
language of the majority opinion placed gay rights firmly within the moral
tradition of the civil rights movement. And like a boulder thrown into a pond,
it will have public consequences for decades.

Positive because Allah not only for Christianity

One Catholic priest in Malaysia continues to insist on the use of "Allah" to

refer to the Christian God while conducting Catholic worship services.
According to the World Watch Monitor, Rev. Lawrence Andrew and his
lawyers are resolute that the recent ruling on the Catholic Church's use of the
word "Allah" in a Christian context is limited only to the Herald in Malaysia,
a Catholic weekly newspaper in which Andrew serves as editor.

Positive because it help u relief from suffer

There are a few things that Christians are able to say with confidence.
Firstly, you are not suffering because God hates you. Secondly, your
suffering will come to an end, and there will be an eternity in which peace
and justice will compensate you. And thirdly, knowing the presence of God
alongside you will make you stronger as you face painful circumstances.
The Christian faith teaches that God hates suffering. It was not part of his
intention for humankind. However, he has created a world that has two
features. Both these features are wonderfully beneficial to humans, but also
result in a planet where suffering is inevitable.
