Short Acces Codes

Besides our high quality satellite direct dialling services, Xantic also offers a number of special
services that make the use of satellite communications even easier and more convenient.
The table below shows the special services
that are offered by Xantic. The numbers
correspond with the short access code which
should be used for each service.
For Inmarsat-A, -B, -M, mini-M, Fleet and GAN
terminals you can gain direct access to these
so-called Short Access Codes' by selecting the

advice will be returned by telex to the same terminal.
On Inm-A and Inm-B telex only possible via LES ID x22. On Inm-C available for both LES codes x12 and x22. IOR
and POR (322, 222, 312, 212) is routed to MRCC Canberra, Australia. AOR-E and AOR-W (012, 112, 022, 122) is routed
to MRCC Den Helder, The Netherlands.

enquiry by using this code per telex

our Xantic Free Information codes (800 series).
Our Free Info Codes contain pricing
information, general technical announcements
as well as user instructions. They are free of
charge for C-mobiles.

14. National Directory Enquiries

26. Mini-M Prepaid

When you have any questions regarding


national directories, you can ask for an enquiry
by using this code per telex

When calling the, free of charge, 26#


Prepaid Support Menu the amount of units
remaining on the Prepaid SIM card will be
confirmed and after that the option is given to
load new value on the SIM card. To be able
to use this service it is necessary to
purchase a mini-M Prepaid SIM card and
ValueCards to reload the SIM Card.

32. Medical Advice


Maritime terminal users can request Medical
Advice via Xantic. Your questions will be
answered by a qualified physician. This service
is free of charge.

28. Weblink Internet Access


Mobile terminal users can access Internet via
Inmarsat -A, -B, -M, Mini M, Fleet and GAN for
e-mail and filetransfer applications. A special
subscription and software package is provided
by Xantic for this service. Regular minute tariff
for all services.

33. LES Technical Assistance


When you have any questions regarding the
Xantic service you can dial 68. However, when
you have more specific technical questions you
can dial 33, in this case youll be put through
directly to the technical experts of Xantic. This
service is free of charge.

41. Meteorological reports (OBS)


Selected ships may send their weather reports
to the Royal Netherlands Meteorological
Institute (KNMI) via code 41. This service is
available for Inmarsat-C only and is free of
charge (for selected ships).

37. Call Duration Advice


Inmarsat-A and -B terminals can receive a call
duration advice for voice calls via telex.
Use 37 instead of the usual 00 preceding the
telephone country code and we will
automatically send a call duration advice to the
telex terminal connected to the ID number
which you used for your telephone call. This
service is free of charge.

42. Navigational Hazard Warnings


Navigational Hazard Warnings are provided for
LES ID 22 users only on the POR and IOR
regions by RCC Canberra.

38. Medical Assistance


Maritime terminal users can request Medical
Assistance. The service is offered by the Coast
Guard and is free of charge.

43. AMVER / AUSREP Reporting Systems


Vessels entering the territorial waters of
Australia are entitled to report their position to
the Australian Maritime Authority via SAC 43
(AUSREP). Similarly, vessels entering the
North Atlantic waters should do the same to the
Automatic Mutual-assistance Vessel Rescue
system (AMVER) also via SAC 43 managed by
the USA Coast Guard.

39. Medical Assistance


Maritime terminal users can request Medical
Assistance. The service is offered by the Coast
Guard and is free of charge.

64. ChatCard
The prepaid ChatCard, with billing by the
second, is available for all Inmarsat Voice
Services: Inmarsat A, -B, -M, mini-M and GAN.
Customers have to make sure that the terminal
is using Xantic x12 and can dial the free of
charge 64#. When prompted by the voice
response, they can enter the 11-digit ChatCard
number that is listed on the ChatCard itself.
The number of units remaining on the card will
be confirmed. When prompted, the customer
can dial the full international telephone number.
To complete the call simply hang up. Used call
units used are automatically deducted from
your card.

68. Xantic Customer Services


For all your questions or reactions regarding
Xantic services. This service is free of charge.

65. AmosConnect (data service only)


AmosConnect is a fully managed service for email, fax and telex messaging over Inmarsat.
AmosConnect users use this code to send and
retrieve messages over Inmarsat A, B, B-HSD,
M, mini-M, GAN and Fleet.

92. MES commissioning


Use this code only for technical commissioning
tests via Xantic. This code is not available for
Inmarsat-C terminals. This service is free of
charge.

91.Telephone / Telex loopback test


The use of this code will automatically start a
test message to check your Inmarsat-A or -B
telex terminal or will connect you to the Xantic
LES operator. Charges: Inmarsat -A, -B, and M: standard telex or telephone charges. Mini
M, Fleet and GAN: regular minute tariff.
696 / SMS. C-SMS
Dial 696, sms or SMS to send your short
messages from an Inmarsat-C terminal to a
GSM mobile phone.
