Consolidation and
feedback

Activity 1: reading and speaking skills:

Ss receive worksheets with a text and a picture about the space and they
will have to read the information about the planets and answer the Ts questions
or even ask themselves the questions: What is the sun / moon? ,How many
planets does the solar system have? ,What colour is the planet ___? ,Is it hot
/ cold on planet ___? ,What do you think is the most interesting thing about
the solar system/ stars / planet ___?.
Activity 2: speaking skills, six thinking stars _ TEAM WORK
Ss are arranged into two groups of six pupils each. T gives each S a
coloured star: white, red, pink, yellow, green, blue. In the middle of the
blackboard, T sticks a sheet of paper that she has prepared with the planet Earth
drawn on it. We divide the blackboard into two parts. In the first section T
writes the subtitle PLANET EARTH NOW, and in the second section T writes
the subtitle PLANET EARTH IN THE YEAR 2250. Group A has the first task
and group B has the second one. Each child of a group must write something on
the star, related to the topic and then stick it on the blackboard. There will be
two children who help the others to stick the stars ( a helper). At the end of the
activity, the leader of each team will read the paragraphs.
Activity 3: role-play, the future with will for predictions:
Two girls will be dressed as gypsies and with a globe they will foresee the
future for two other children. There are two dialogues here consisting of
questions such as: will I marry soon?or Will I have a good job?

Time: 18
SETTING THE HOMEWORK AND ENDING THE
LESSON
As homework for next time they will have to do a composition (10 15
lines) about the car of the future. The Ss will write their ideas about this topic
using the acquired vocabulary and lots of imagination. T will make sure that
they write the assignment in their notebooks.
Teacher also rewards the most active pupils with good grades as this
lesson is seen as an evaluation.
After all this T thanks the kids for their participation at the lesson and tells
them to have a nice day and they can prepare for the break.
