This highly specialized program was developed in consultation with recognized
experts in the fields of addiction and mental health including Lakeridge Health
Corporation in Durham Region.

PROGRAM DETAILS:
• Comprehensive education and training in evidence-based counselling practices by
experienced and skilled practitioners;
• Training from current counsellors and graduates of social services, human services
and social science programs who possess the specific skill set required to work
with clients impacted by addictive behaviours and mental health issues; and

Paralegal
This program is the only graduate program of its kind accredited by the Law
Society of Upper Canada (LSUC). Students with a law-related degree or
diploma, or three to five years of related work experience are eligible to enrol
in this challenging and rewarding eight-month program of study, which includes
a valuable field placement component. This program prepares students for the
paralegal profession including the eligibility status required to sit for the LSUC
paralegal licensing exam.
