This book is reliable since it was our school librarian who recommended to our class and all the

other U.S. history classes. This book was easy to find basic information about War. It had a

specific section of War and military that was easy to find a basic doctrine during recent years.

This book gave me a basic idea of the recent war (including terrorism).

Ciment, James. Encyclopedia of Conflicts Since World War II. New York: M.E. Sharpe, 1999.

The book has the list of all the wars that has happened after the World War II. Not only the wars

that U.S. has been involved but also other wars outside of U.S. are in this book. It was easy to

find war in between 1970s to present that U.S. has been involved. Beginning of each war, it

provides the Country, the name of the war, year, conflict, and the participants. The book has

been recommended by my history teacher, so it has to be reliable. James Climents has not only

published the Encyclopedia of Conflicts Since World War II, but other books and he has also had

an education in University of New York. University of New York is very famous for its

academic which proves that James Climents is reliable.

Starting with Communism the timeline shows each event that either causes or was involved

during Cold War. The timeline also provides links to all the important events, persons, and etc.,

so the reader can find more detailed information about that specific time. The site is very reliable

since it is a data base provided by our school library.

This site shows the facts and the statistic during the Cold War. It shows the competition between

the soviets and U.S. like the nuclear bomb test and the number of arsenals. It would be easy to

find basic statistic of a particular war. The statistic is really easy to look at since it divided by the

country and the dates. The facts are supported by the data base that our library supports.

This article gives basic information about the actual war. The article shows what causes the war,

what breaks out the war, what ceases the war. It gives the readers the thought of why each war

was caused. It gives another thought to your mind why wars are happening in the present day and

also in the past. The article is very reliable since the data is from library of congress. Hanson

Victor has graduated from Stanford and also is a professor at California State University. He was

awarded with medal in National Humanities and Bradley prize. He is very reliable since he has a

lot of accomplishment recognized by others.

Hodge, Carl and Cathal Nolan eds. U.S. Presidents and Foreign Policy: from 1789 to the Present.

It is easily organized for any reader to find basic presidential acts during the period, from 1789 to

the present. The book has used the data from the Library of Congress, so the it gives a very exact

and reliable information during each presidential period. This book gave a basic knowledge of

what the presidents have done during this period. Each doctrine during the period of 1970s to the

present shows the basic idea that presidents were thinking.
