Theme: Sustainable Road for Development
INTRODUCTION
The Sabah Road Day is an auspicious day created to mark the concerted efforts of all
relevant groups or individuals in making our road transport system in the State efficient,
safe and consistent with the prevailing government policies and law governing the usage
of road and bridges.
OBJECTIVES
To reach out to the society on the road transport systems available in Sabah. At the same
time to give the awareness on related agencies that involved in the road sustainability
system. Sustainability is about meeting current and future demands without compromising
the needs of future generation.
Road industry players must consider elements of sustainability in design construction
maintenance and operations.
Road safety awareness expected will reduce comminuting accidentals in Sabah
throughout a carefully designed and constructed roads.
THE CONFERENCE
This 2 day conference will be highlighting the engineering technology and also be
introducing new innovations. Carrying the theme Sustainable Road for Development
the conference provides a strategic networking platform for industry professionals,
government agencies and academia.
The conference has incorporated a half day technical visit on its second day of the event.
Exhibition booths will also be set-up for display of products in-line with the conference
presentations.
Note: IEM and JKR are not in the position to endorse any products displayed and mentioned during this 2
day conference.

THE SITE VISIT (Subject to Change)


This years technical site visit will be at the currently under construction The Lintas
Bypass Flyover, Kota Kinabalu.
** A commitment fee of RM100.00 on top of the registration fee will be collected from
each delegate. Reservation of seat is based on first come first serve. A separate CPD
of 3 hours will be allocated for this purpose.
