Product Analyst (Compensation and Benefits Taxation)

Responsibilities

Assisting with UK Employment tax reporting and compliance (Preparation and


submission of PSA, PAYE Audits, Senior Accounting Officer Regime, Form 42 share
schemes returns etc).

Act as first point of contact with the business for ad hoc questions relating to
executive compensation and tax matters.

Assist with developing and maintaining procedures and controls with regard to
employment tax exposures.

Executive compensation and reward planning, implementation and planning of


new programmes, maintenance of existing programmes

Working with senior HR managers and managers in the business.

Specific focus on supporting senior executives with compensation and tax


assistance, dual contracts, stock plans, deferred compensation.

Specific focus on tax planning aspects of compensation plans.

Internal tax consulting with the business, including employment tax related
questions from our regional offices in EMEA.

Develop a close working relationship with colleagues in corporate tax and


finance (and other departments where necessary) on projects with a crossfunctional slant.

Liaison with HMRC with regard to employment taxes ensuring a good working
relationship in addition to compliance with tax requirements.

Tax guidance on international pension plans.

Developing and supporting communication strategies for major compensation


plans to ensure that employees fully understand their awards and entitlements.
Compensation programmes are a key part of ensuring that the firm retains and
attracts top talent.

The firm's ability to comply with HMRC requirements and manage its tax risk
helps manage the firms costs and protect its reputation. The role will also offer
opportunities to expand into other areas of compensation and benefits when
required and if desired.

Skills / Experience

Strong Tax background required

Preferred ATT/CTA qualified, with experience in PAYE / NIC


compliance/consulting, international employment taxation and compensation
planning

Ability to explain complex compensation and tax issues to senior individuals and
other internal parties in a straightforward manner.

Ability to demonstrate good commerciality

Excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to operate at all levels

Ability to be proactive and work under pressure, using own initiative and
judgement

Good IT skills such as excel and word

Demonstrate good presentation skills

Enthusiasm to work within a broader Compensation & Benefits team and be


flexible enough to work across the team to cover overlap areas

Experience of managing multiple projects

Knowledge of developing new processes across HR

Excellent client relationship skills in order to maintain a close working


relationship with executive and line management and key clients within the
business

Be a team player across a number of different teams both within and outside HR
