Hunters
Association

Committee,
The
Chairman
Mr.
Mohsin
Abdallah
would
like
to
congratulate
the
Minister
of
Natural
Resources
and
Tourism,
Honorable
Lazaro
Nyalandu
for
the
actions
he
took
to
contain
the
illegal
and
unethical
tourist
hunting
practices
as
carried
out
by
Green
Mile
Safaris
Ltd
and
Directors.
TPHA
is
an
Association
of
licensed
Professionals
who
guide
Tourist
Hunting
Safaris
in
Tanzania,
and
carries
out
its
activities
while
observing
Tanzanian
Laws
and
Regulations.
TPHA
members
also
are
guided
by
the
internationally
recognized
ethical
hunting
practices
as
documented
in
the
TPHA
code
of
ethics
and
its
constitution.
TPHA
supports
the
Minister
in
his
actions
and
welcomes
his
commitment
to
the
Tourist
Hunting
Sector
in
Tanzania
that
the
Ministry
of
Natural
Resources
and
Tourism
will
not
tolerate
Safari
Companies
which
break
laws
and
regulations
of
the
country
or
conduct
safaris
without
respecting
wildlife
and
its
environment.
TPHA
promises
to
take
severe
action
to
any
of
its
members
if
it
is
proven
that
he
or
she
was
involved
in
entertain
illegal
practices.
We
would
like
to
assure
the
Minister
and
the
public
at
large
that
Professional
Hunting
is
not
conducted
in
the
manner
shown
in
the
videos
released
by
Green
Mile
Safaris
Ltd.
To
the
contrary,
Professional
apart
from
guiding
Tourists,
are,
most
of
the
times,
very
heavily
engaged
in
wildlife
conservation
and
anti-hunting
activities.
Further,
Tourist
Hunting
is
strictly
regulated,
authorized
and
supervised
by
the
Wildlife
Division.
TPHA
will
continue
to
follow
the
Tanzanian
Wildlife
Conservation
Act
(No.
5
of
2009)
and
the
Tourist
Hunting
Regulations
of
2010
and
reiterate
its
total
support
for
the
Wildlife
Division
and
The
Ministry
of
Natural
Resources
&
Tourism
in
its
efforts
to
combat
unethical
practices
and
ensuring
that
all
of
its
members
conducts
tourists
safaris
while
strictly
observing
the
laws
of
Tanzania.
TPHA
would
like
to
appeal
to
every
citizen
that
Wildlife
if
used
in
a
sustainable
manner
can
contribute
to
poverty
alleviation
at
the
same
time
protecting
our
natural
environment
and
this
is
the
responsibility
of
every
Tanzania.
Let
us
all
participate
in
exposing
those
who
are
involved
in
illegal
behaviors
that
may
cause
the
depletion
of
Wildlife
and
with
that
the
degradation
the
environment.
