Law in my view is a great area of study, as it has to continuously adapt

depending on the perception of the contemporary citizen over what is just.

I always felt attracted to this domain and had a sense of justice and equity,
but to certify the fact that it was truly what I imagined it to be, I read Letters
to a Law Student. Page by page I felt more and more convinced that I found
that one thing I want to study and that could bring me fulfillment. I want to
be sure I do not miss anything on this subject, therefore I seek excellency
and I`d like to study at a University which could offer me the environment I
need, focused on nothing but pushing the limits and attaining the highest.
During my education I always sought to stand out and have as many
great achievements as I could, in a variety of subjects. I finished middle
school as valedictorian, and have continued my performances ever since.
Furthermore I have regularly won prizes at contest of: mathematics, physics,
informatics and English, which helped me attain a logical thinking and
pushed me to study further, by myself, more than what was mandatory at
school.
I consider myself fortunate to have chosen to start debate in the 9 th
grade, as the whole debate experience and the competitions, both nationals
and internationals, helped me achieve a broader development. First of all, I
had the opportunity to speak and persuade. To have to convince a judge, a
few people or even a crowd, but just the opportunity to speak and to be
listened to, meant a lot. I realized what this actually meant in real life, apart
from a debate, only when, in 2012 I won a national contest with my class and
went to Italy. There, in front of a whole amphitheater, representing my
country, I was the one chosen to hold a speech about our experience and
how we succeeded to work together. Even though there was a lot of
pressure, I managed to stay calm and say everything I wanted to. The
second level I developed upon during my debate experience is knowledgebased. I was given the opportunity to debate on a whole range of subjects,
from basic principles to factual issues, for which I had to research a lot,
having to make a habit out of reading on a daily-basis newspapers and
journals. I was pushed to think more, better and deeper in a lot of matters
and understand background mechanisms. The beautiful part is that most of
the time you don`t have to learn from scratch alone, as you have you team. I
believe this experience showed me what real teamwork is: we won, we lost,
we learned and we evolved together!
Apart from my curricular activity, I also joined Interact, Rotary
International`s service group for young teens. In this multinational

organization I met a lot of people with whom I gladly conducted tens of

projects designed to support people from the villages nearby, elderly and
orphans, bringing pragmatic improvements to our society. This experience
helped me enhance my organizing, leadership and communication skills in a
practical way. We also contributed to the international project End Polio
Now, targeting those who unfortunately don`t have a proper access to
health.
Moreover, I wanted to have an insight on what I would actually do, as I
am aware of the fact that life is not as a story in a book. That is why, during
this summer I volunteered at the archives of the Court of Appeal from my
city. There I had the chance to read some legal documents and case files
from all branches of law. Surprisingly to everybody, including myself, I
actually took pleasure in reading them from cover to cover. I found it
exquisite and enjoyed learning the storyline of each case, differences
between statements and nonetheless the pleadings of the attorneys. I even
attended a court meeting where I learned the procedures and analyzed the
speeches. This definitely gave me an insight into what I would be doing after
graduating and I am as eager as ever to attain the education needed to gain
the right to hold my own pleading in Court.
