Resort consists of 36
bungalows, all facing the sea. Mainly European clientele, German, British, French, Italian and also some
Japanese and Russian. The island is popular for many repeat guests returning year after year. Being a small
island the staff team is built upon a family atmosphere whereby staff approach to guest services is personal
and friendly.
We are looking for enthusiastic, young, innovative, talented & reliable team players to be a part of Makunudu
Island team. If you are an individual with these special qualities, then we would like you to join us.
2-5 years experience in handling the whole spectrum of HR Department (preferably in Maldives)
Bachelors degree / Diploma in Human Resource Management or similar discipline
Previous experience in a similar role in a 4-star luxury hotel/resort group
Should be honest, trustworthy, with positive attitude and respectful
Should be able to know how to handle human resources management with less supervision and be
able to work as a team.
Should be a computer literate and be familiar with MS Office Package
Able to work under pressure.
Ability to communicate and interact with people from diverse cultures & backgrounds.
Excellent command of written and spoken English,
Knowledge and abilities in other languages would be beneficial.
8. Ensure that the following HR structure or processes are applied consistently according to RMs direction:
i. Recruitment and selection ii. Induction, Orientation and Training iii. Performance management and
appraisal iv. Reward and recognition v. Conflict and Disciplinary actions
9. Provide assistance, advice and support to HOD, and staff on HR systems and processes, including
through the current change projects.
10. Analyse the manpower requirement, identify, plan and organize the development skills that is needed
to operate effectively.
11. Ensure that various agenda, including benefit programmes, meet the appropriate requirements and
practices as per approval by the RM.
12. To achieve excellence in HR structure, consulting with RM about everything that encompasses HR
programmes is expected on a regular basis.
13. Upon approval from RM, GM and MD you will deliver core HR policies in a professional and consistent
manner, interpreting and improving services and processes as appropriate as possible.
14. Upon approval from RM, GM and MD you will develop and implement a consistent Terms and
Conditions of Service package for our staff, incorporating Performance Related Pay considering the
local labour laws in the region.
15. Working closely with management in analysing the training gap and develop strategic learning and
development plans for staff.
16. Provide guidance on staff matters for both foreigners and locally employed staff.
17. Leading the recruitment process across the board.
18. Hiring and Firing will be effective only upon approval from RM/MD.
19. Ensuring pay scales, benefits and allowances are reviewed regularly and fairly, and expenditure on pay
remains with budget allocation.
20. Liaising with all HR staff at all times to update local labour laws across the board.
21. Ensuring that all records are maintained and in order.
22. Continually exploring new ways of working to deliver efficiencies and streamlined procedures in HR
services for the whole group.
23. Strict compliance on above duties and responsibilities is required at all times
