Simulator™

Overview
Visual System Simulator (VSS) software is the industry’s most comprehensive
solution for the end-to-end design of communication systems. It lets you create
the best possible system architecture by precisely optimizing component
values and eliminating the effects of impairments in the signal chain from the
earliest stages of the design through conformance testing. VSS is an invaluable
complement to AWR’s Microwave Office® software and can dramatically reduce
design cost and bill of materials by eliminating rework and ensuring components
are not overspecified.

Standards

AWR’s VSS software also includes “test benches” dedicated to specific wireless
network standards that let you conduct standard-specific tests to evaluate
system performance using the parameters by which the system will be judged
in service. For example, the test bench for WiMAX certified products meets
IEEE 802.16d-2004 (fixed) and 802.16e-2005 (mobile WiMAX) standards,
and includes all the bit-level functions, framing, randomization, RS-CC coding,
interleaving, modulation, pilot, channelization, and bandwidth options for uplink
and downlink operation.
