 ABSTRACT

Security is the primary concern of any organisation working at international level. Security must
be ensured for development and proper working of the organisation. There have been incidances
in the past where security breach has lead to the downfall of many companys. These security
breaches was possible because of internetworking connections, which made data accessible to
others. A network within any organization is vulnerable to threats like information leaking,
unauthorized access of data, system attack by malicious characters and false plays due to cheap
competitions. So it is very necessary to implement a centralised security check to regulate and
control the flow of information. This is done by Domain Controller which is implemented at two
levels as primary domain controller and backup domain controller. These Domain controllers
mainly help us to manage the Password Policy, Screen Saver lockout policy, Time
Synchronization at desktop levels. Even tranfer of data through USB ports are controlled through
some DC.

Hereby, in this project we learn how Domain Controllers are implemented and check a demo by
implementing Symantec antivirus Corporate edition 8.9.0 .
