My Hero Essay Contest. This contest gives breast cancer survivors an opportunity to
share inspirational stories of coming face-to-face with breast cancer. Family and friends
whose loved ones have been diagnosed with breast cancer can also share stories of how
their loved ones heroically battle this disease.

A write-in contest celebrates inspiring family stories across Malaysia

Thalgo Cosmetic SEA invites story entries for the Thalgo Climb with Pride My Hero
Essay Contest. Through this unique write-in contest, breast cancer survivors can share
inspirational family stories and stand a chance to win attractive spa packages and
beauty products from THALGO.

The 2010 contest is open to all Malaysian citizens. To enter the contest, breast cancer
survivors are encouraged to submit a short story to share with THALGO and PRIDE
their inspirational journey of fighting with breast cancer. Family and friends can also
relate stories of why their loved ones who have been battling with breast cancer are
their heroes. The first 12 winning stories will receive a THALGO facial treatment from
St. Gregory Spa at PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur and beauty products from THALGO. The
next 12 special stories will receive beauty products from THALGO. THALGO has
sponsored more than RM10, 000 worth of prizes for this contest.

The experience of coming face-to-face with breast cancer is a very distressing time for
any family. My Hero Contest aims to provide a unique opportunity for friends, families
and breast cancer patients/survivors to share their feelings and encourage other breast
cancer patients to manage this disease bravely and positively. All winning stories will be

seeks to restore their confidence and self esteem while proving that there is life after
breast cancer! The Climb also emphasises the importance of support from family and
friends.

Breast Cancer, My Hero Essay Contest Rules and Requirements

Eligibility: Contest is open to all Malaysians. All breast cancer patients, survivors and
their friends and family.
Entry: No purchase necessary to enter the Contest. To enter, complete all required
information as below:

Name as in IC. ,date of birth, address, email address, hand phone number.

Submit you “Breast Cancer, My Heroes Essay Write-In Contest” of not more than 2000
words and a photograph of yourself or your heroes (optional) to
myherocontest@thalgo-sea.com. English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese entries are
accepted. The Contest officially opens for receipt of eligible entries on May 1st, 2010. All
entries must be received by 31 of May 2010. Entries in excess of this limit will be void.
By entering the contest, entrants warrant that their submission is an original work.

Prizes: The first 12 winning stories will receive a THALGO facial treatment from St.
Gregory Spa at PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur and beauty products from THALGO. The next
12 special stories will receive beauty products from THALGO. THALGO has sponsored

All decisions of the judges and staff concerning the Contest are final. Products and
prizes may not be returned or exchanged for cash. All prizes are awarded to the breast
cancer heroes only and may not be transferred or substituted except by Organizer and
its Sponsor.

Claiming a Prize: Winners will be notified via e-mail or phone in mid-of June following
the judging using the e-mail address or phone number they provided with their entry.
Each contest winner will be contacted directly by the Organizer to fulfill the
presentation of prizes. All prizes must be claimed within thirty days. To claim his/her
prize, Winner must respond to the prize notification e-mail or phone call or messages
and may be required to provide proof of identity, address and birth date. Prizes not
claimed within 30 days will be forfeited. Organizer will select an alternate potential
winner for any unclaimed forfeited prize if a sufficient number of eligible and/or
qualified entries remain.
General Conditions: All Contest entrants agree that Sponsor and Organizer may,
without permission or additional compensation, publish, display and otherwise use
Winner’s name.
