1. Linux with Convergence Technologies Innovation (LCTI)

Linux today emerging as one of the fastest growing Operating System, is gaining wide acceptance
from various sectors including banking, engineering, insurance, financial services &
telecommunications. Today with convergence of IT & Telecommunications, there is significant
shortfall of Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) professionals who have expertise in
both IT and Communications Technologies. The Convergence Technologies Innovation curriculum
has been designed by HCL Infosystems Ltd keeping in mind the current industry requirements of
managing the IT infrastructure of Small Medium Enterprise (SMEs) and Corporate.

This course starts with Basic concepts of Linux Operating System and moves on to advanced
concepts like System administration and Networking Administration. The course then covers the
concepts & implementation of various servers i.e, DHCP Server , Mail Server, Web Server &
Application Server etc. together with configuration and working with routers and networking
devices.

2. Web Development using PHP

The aim of this course, based on Linux as the Operating System and Apache as the web server is to
create expertise for building dynamic, data driven, inter active websites. Using Linux, Apache,
PHP, and My SQL this course covers entire process to create Content Management System (CMS).
This course is unique in its approach as it imparts the necessary knowledge and skills for Web
Development through the right mix of theory and hands on practice to evolve into qualified web
developer capable of developing & managing web sites and portals.

 3. Web Designing

This course on Web Designing is designed to create the skill set for designing robust Web sites. This
course builds up skills in web editors like Dreamweaver, image editing tools like Photoshop
elements and Background markup and scripting languages like HTML and CSS.

Eligibility:
All the students of the colleges and departments of University of Delhi are eligible to apply for
these courses.
Students of School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board
(NCWEB), University of Delhi, will be given preference.

Venue:
Centre for Professional and Technical Training, Campus of Open Learning, C-2, Keshav Puram,
Delhi-110035,
(Near Keshav Puram Metro Station)

Duration:
6 months (4 Months of Course Conduction followed by 2 months of Industry Internship with
provision for stipend for deserving candidates)

Placement:
Placement assistance shall be provided to deserving candidates by HCL Infosystems Limited.
