It is recommended that your PC is configured with a Static IP when

using Port Forwarding. See page 7 - how to configure Windows 7 with a
static IP.
1. Log in to the modem with the computer connected to the modem via Ethernet.
- URL: http://192.168.1.1 (default)
- Username: admin
- Password: admin (default)
- Graphic Authentication: (randomly generated)

6. SelecttheServerNameoptiontocreateyourownrule.

7. EnteranamefortheServerNamee.g.RDPMyPCusedinthisexample(RDP=Remote
Desktop).

9. EntertheIPAddressofthesystemrunningtheRemoteDesktopservice.Thesysteminthis
configurationwassetwithaStaticIP192.168.1.3

- ExternalPortStart:3389
- ExternalPortEnd:3389
- Protocol:TCP
- InternetPortStart:3389

NOTE:
If you have multiple PCs you wish to enable a service such as Remote Desktop
on, you will need to create a different External Port Start and End for each PC
e.g.

10. ClickAPPLYtosaveandactivatetherulecreated.

- Tocheckwhethertheportissuccessfullyforwarded,gotowww.canyouseeme.organd
entertheexternalportusedinyourportforwardingruleandclickSubmit.Itwillreturn
withaSuccessorErrormessage.

- Inthisexample,themodemLANIPis192.168.1.1andtherefore192.168.1.3isusedfor
thisparticularPCsIPAddress

- Subnetmask:automaticallyfilledfortheuser

- DefaultGateway:192.168.1.1(modemIPaddress)

- DNSServers:inthisexamplethemodemisusedasthePrimaryDNSserver(192.168.1.1).
HoweverthiscanbeassignedwithyourISPsDNSoralternativeDNSservers.
