Warm- up
T writes 6 sentences in Bosnian on the board
and calls up different SS to come and
translate them into English. The rest class
rewrites and carefully follows work on the
board. The sentences are in the past simple
tense. T asks SS to tell her what action is the
past simple tense. How do we make the past
simple tense? To tell her positive, negative
and questions examples.

Use:
The Past Perfect is used to express an action
in the past which happened before (past
perfect) another action in the past (the past
simple tense).
Prije nego to sam pregledala film, proitala
sam knjigu.
Before I watched the film, I have read the
book. Prvo sam proitala knjigu pa sam onda
pregledala film. Older action is in the Past
perfect.
Nakon to sam se okupala otila sam u
krevet.
After I had had a bath I went to bed.
