PAPER NAME CHECK
When calling out name check, the students are to look at the
Procedures board and reference the visual.
ORGANIZING CONTENTS OF STUDENT STORAGE
All students must have a binder for class with tabs
o Homework to do
o Homework to turn in
o Graded papers
o Notes
o Handouts
o Bell-work
o Notebook paper
At the end of each quarter, we will have a recycling party in which
students will throw out old papers in the recycling bin (only the papers
that the teacher says is ok to toss).
ORGANIZING CONTENTS OF DESKS
School property should be kept separate from personal property

Backpacks and bags will be kept in the back of the room

No binders or textbooks or papers should be left in the desks at
the end of the class. All classroom materials are to be taken with
the student
Desks will be equipped with a pencil case with multiple pencils
and erasers for the students to use

TARDY PROCEDURE
Students are to sign in the notebook located next to the door if
they arrive late and head quietly to his or her seat. They will record
their name, why they are late and place any excuse slips they have in
a bin next to the notebook. The teacher will decide at the end of class
whether the excuse is excusable or not.
The notebook will be place close to the door so they do not
disrupt the class when entering (Wong and Wong, 93).
Unless they come in while the class is reviewing the bellwork,
they are not responsible for the assignment.

ABSENCE PROCEDURE
Students can find worksheets, notes and assignments for them in
the Make-up Folder located at the front of the room. At the
beginning of class, the teacher will inform the Absentee Helper
who is absent. The Absentee Helper will be responsible for
taking notes and putting papers in the folder for the students.
Students have as many days to make up their homework as they
were absent (example: absent for two days, they have two days
to make up work)
The worksheets will be labeled absent so the teacher knows
why it was turned in late.
HOMEWORK PROCEDURE
Homework will be written down on the board (if there is any)
along with the daily schedule. Students must turn their homework in
the next time class meets (unless absent).
Homework will be passed in after announcements.
Graded homework will be returned and the students will place it
in their binders.
I will adopt a binder system for my students. Each student will
have an organized 3-ring binder divided into 5 tabs: Homework to do,
homework to turn in, notes, in-class worksheets and notebook paper.
As soon as students receive their homework for the evening, they will
place it in their Homework to do section. When they finish their

homework, they can place it in the Homework to turn in section

(Wong and Wong, 103).
