The meeting was called to order by the President, Julieta Morales at 10:30am, with 9 BOTs physically present and 4
proxies. Dr. Elaine Del Castillo-Villanueva of Batch 1991 also attended.
May 21, 2016 5th Board Meeting Minutes: Distributed for review and approval.
- Luz Lorenzo moved for the approval of the May 21 meeting minutes.
-The motion was seconded by Janice Bilalo.
CORRECTIONS:
Scholarship Carl Justine Miranda conditional (financial capability)
- Site Inspection of MaSci with permission from the principal- 2 weeks ago
Intek Systems (supplier) quoted 13 cameras, with the server located at the guard
- BOT: adjust the origin of cabling: Principals Office
- There is another supplier, according to Ms. Nacion no quotation yet
- Get 1 more supplier
Issues taken up in connection with school administrations participation in Fdn projects:
o Strict implementation of the Deed of Donation; attach a layout or drawing, project cost, provision that
the donated property cannot be transferred/removed from its location
- make Minutes of Meeting / Reactions will be given to Ms. Nacion
- Requests:

Which Spots: (a) Main Gate (blue and stainless gates); (b) P. Faura perimeter; (c) 2 at the Back (HE and
canteen); (d) library - Spike was able to talk to Sally Gacusan. They do not provide CCTVs to small
Accounts. He was referred to Caesar Felicerta Batch 90. He will schedule an ocular inspection by end of
May or 1st week of June. He also proposes to do the project phase by phase. Priority is installation, but
he also recommends the RFID for students entrace and exit to the school premises.

-Demand letter in the law firms letterhead Yette gave Noi for delivery to Jonic. Jonic has to reply up to 10 days from
receipt of demand letter.
- Noi will get 15 corrected CTBs from Yettes inventory for batch reunion.
- Cost of CTB: P518.15. 225 books still for delivery.

- SEC Concerns: 1. Sworn Statement of sources, amount and application of fund Bats is still gathering information,
upon finalization and will be distributed to BOT. Luz Manese will file these to BIR.
2. Certificate of Donations should be signed by the Principal (certification of structural donations)
- Fdn will issue Certificate for cash donations of more than 100K (1987, Carlos of 1972 for music room)
Pending: the amendment of the COR so that we will not pay the registration fee and VAT anymore.
- Retainer of Jenneath for December and January 2016 has been deferred for payment since deliverables are not yet
complete - December 2015 is payable, but refute January 2016
Check of PhilHealth can still pay us for its advertisement; if yes, deliver souvernir program and issue BIR-approved

- Requests for the approval of funds from the Foundation should be endorsed by the
Principal

- Fdn will source the possible speakers.
-Final New Scholars: 9 applicants, all approved with 3 conditional for 1 year on the
ground of financial capability. These are Giliane, ______________, and

- Among the current scholars, stipends of 4 will be suspended due to non-submission of
ITR / Certificate of Indigency
- For the PCSO to sponsor a regular annual charity race, we need to submit a letter of
request annually.
- PRC is requesting the profile of all the scholars.
SCHOLARSHIP
- There are 56 scholars for this year.
It has been decided that Rhalph Atienza will be dropped and Leomer Cionelo will be
conditional for 1 year.
- Ning give to Batch 89 the cards of the scholars they are sponsoring.
- Orientation Schedule: June 18, 9AM. Barotilla Hall. Luz will get in touch with BPI.
-- Ning has submitted the letter to Ms. Nacion on June 1 about Wightman disbursements
and history of the fund from Y1 (2006)
- Dante will sponsor additional 2 scholars, Noi will sponsor Sharlene Hablado
- October 8 homecoming date

- Dedicated PRC-PCSO Race Date: 2017
- Dante will meet with Bong Molina of 1976 to explore options for raising donations

E-BOOKS: Ambo turned over to Gonz (History, Science, Math, Computers)

Special Project: INTRANET Gonz reported that the proof of concept will be
finalised by end of April. The system will be ready for testing in May.
- Approximate cost for the 5 sets of Raspberry Pi is P 32K. Approximate cost of the
server is P 11K. Gonz reported that he has purchased. He advanced the cost from his
funds. Must reimburse.
-Board hopes that the project will be implemented in time for the start of the school
year.

-Spike talked to Ms. Nacion and she is open for monitoring of the curriculum.

-Spike is tasked to do a survey on the difficulties experienced on the side of the teachers, students and administration.
Draft a letter to Ms. Nacion that Spike will conduct a survey.

- Submit a letter to the DepEd BSE stating that above-mentioned items for the Ordinance.
- The letter will be prepared by Atty. Yette to be endorsed by MSHS Principal Ms. Eva
Nacion.
Lobby to the City council to increase the funds to the school and the teachers at the
proper time.
Atty. Yette was able to talk to Sen. Pia Cayetano. She suggested to write a letter regarding the
Bordner Building.
Draft a letter to Sen. Pia Cayetano regarding the restoration of the Bordner Building.
Coordinate with DepEd and local official first before going national level. Courtesy call

2001 vs 1983 for the Best of 3 championship

Find alumnus in Meralco to make an over-all assessment of the existing electrical connections, problems, solutions,
consumption (based on the requirement of the DepEd) POST IN TMKK
- Mr. Baldoz (Building Administrator) has informed us that there is an alumni willing to shoulder the termite
treatment for the Bordner Building. 2 batches together - BATCH 76 AND ? (Ning will ask Mr. Baldoz)
- Luz Lorenzo will request quotation from MAPECON for: (1) Alumni Room, (2) Bordner, (3) whole school
Jenneath submitted a quotation for the Termite control amounting to P18K with 1 year warranty, and quarterly
inspection. It was agreed that we get other quotations from 2 more termite control companies.

Ms. Antonette Marcella of Batch 1988 reported that the school is requesting for the following:
a. Math teacher Training
- A TNA from 17 Math teachers was conducted by the Ateneo. Batch 1988 will shoulder (?) the
Teaching method training, and batch 1990 will sponsor the meals during the training.
- Comprehensive Content training will be inquired from UP, Ateneo, PNU and La Salle
- The content Training can be shouldered by 88, 91, Ecacher (?) and the MSHSAFI
b. Science teacher training

NOTE: Check the ESEP there is a provision for teacher training -ask Ms. Nacion for a copy of the ESEP details
A dialogue should be made by 1988, 1991, the Principal, and the Science and Math teachers.
c. Internet Access in each department they were formerly using a Globe stick. As of today, there is no
internet access.
- Batch 1988 has agreed to the shoulder the routers and the wiring. However, they cannot shoulder the monthly
corporate subsciption (Minimum requirement: 3Mbps) - Janice will inquire with Tonette regarding the set-up of
the Internet line. Martha of Batch 1991 is with Globe. Janice mentioned that Globe will have a free 2-year
subscription for the school with 100 Mbps.
the Board has requested that Ms. Marcella canvass for the subscription cost and submit a letter to the MSHSAFI BOT.
Alex has also been assigned to canvass for subscription.

Grade 10 and 11 registation and ushers for july 2
Intermission: Jayson Candelaria
December date: open to all, St. Lukes Auditorium, BGC
Romeo Solis wants to teach students, instead of training the teachers. We can explore a symposium-type class or
as a Robotics class.
